Well some priests use Prophet velen, so theres that
Cairne is still an absurdly strong 6 drop, and a very valuable board presence tool. He doesn't necessarily need to be synergistic. Boulderfist ogres work great in those slots too.
Id put Gadgetzan to cycle all the cheap spells - PW: Shield,Holy Smite, Silence, Circle, etc. In fact Im surprised Gadgetzan isnt present in more priest decks with all those cheap spells.
Edit: Obviosly Amaz doesnt need card draw since he can just call cards, but Im sure you can use it ;)
No, absolutely disagree, for card draw you already got Northshire Cleric, this is awesome card-draw engine. I never go out of cards with Priest.
Better replacement could be Boulderfist Ogre, like mentioned before, or even Faceless Manipulator, or Sunwalker, or Argent Commander.
I wouldn't put cairne in a priest deck. If it gets copied from a faceless manipulator, you are going to have a bad time. you still can put him in the deck, I just don't like that he can be copied.
Can anyone give me insight as to how come alot of these highly-upvoted decks get my ass kicked when I use them? I still dominate with Druid and Control warrior,hyper-rush pally.
Is it because alot of these decks, this one it especially stood out to me, are crafted to the meta of whatever rank these players were at? This stands no chance against ranks 20~15 meta. perhaps after 15 the meta changes. I'm struggling to get my rank up..
Last season I blazed from 20~2 with my control warrior. I remember yesterday, I couldn't get a win to save my life with my "bread and butter" warrior that I oh so love. and I was rank 20....?
I think your troubles (at least with your bread and butter deck) might be related to the ranks being reset at the start of the new season. As for the high rated decks being crafted for a certain rating is an interesting thought, I too play some of them and get facerolled myself. Though that is probably more to do with my awfulness than anything else.

+ not only you need to learn how to play correctly, the combos, when to use what...you really need a little luck with your draws in certain matchup
if you face zoolock without pyromancers or the auchenai + circle combo in your first few cards it's an autoloss, if you dont get your silence ord sw:death vs those big creatures...loss
if you don't get cards from your clerirc...well not a loss but it could get very difficult very fast
priest might be one of the hardest classes to play, i personally like it very much but even with a good deck (like this) you can just lose some games due to bad draw, one little mistake or simply being unlucky

The meta definitely changes as you rank up, and in general goes from more aggro + random stuff to a more tightly tuned and control/midrange the higher up you go. Priests tend to do better at higher levels because they have the tools to do well vs control decks, and as others have said, must rely on drawing the right cards to have a bat's chance in hell vs aggro.
