I am sure it is a great deck but it is not for me, I was terrible with the OTK worgen, and this is a very similar deck. And if HotMEOWTH could not pilot it correctly can you imagine me? :)
The ignorance of some people in hearthstone really triggers me.1) This list ist specifically designed for a tournament environment.This means that you can ban decks that are a perticular bad matchup, so that you can already reduce the risk for this deck by a lot.This means also that you can use this deck to specifically target a certain matchup. For example this deck is really good against druid because they have no ways to deal with a patron or giant board.Since every single player brought a druid list for this tournament you can almost guarantee a good matchup.So don't come here and talk about how "garbage" this deck is for your rank 18 ladder experience.2) It actually takes a lot of balls to bring innovative strategies like this to a tournament. Balls that many of you brave keyboardwarriors will never have. Shittalking about profesional players doesn't make you look any better.3) Of cause this deck is a bit risky as it is incredibly difficult to pilot and sometimes inconsistent when you get unlucky with your draws.But on the toplevel of hearthstone there are only a small portion of matches that are actually decided by missplays.Given that most of the top players are at around the same skill level - the player who is willing to take a risk can have an edge over his opponents.I could bet my ass that the very same people who are shittalking HotMEOWTH for his decision to bring this deck right now would be praising him for his bravery and genious if he would have succeeded with this strategy.
Interesting analysis were it not for the fact that Hotmeowth actually banned his opponent's druid when he played this deck! Now why did he do that?

I forgot about that, so bringing up Druid as the only example was maybe a poor choice.Well, I don't know HotMEOWTH's thoughts but this is my guess:DrHippi brought a Malygos Druid, Tempo Mage, Midrange Shaman, Zoolock and a Dragon Warrior deck.Tempo Mage, Midrange Shaman and Zoolock are all decks that try to win by overwhelming the opponent early with many small to medium size minions.This deck can deal with that fairly well if you draw your Pyromancer + Commanding Shout combo early enough.Zoolock is helpless once you drop either you patrons or arcane giants.Tempomage also has no proper way to deal with arcane giants and only has 1 flamestrike to deal with patrons.Shamans can only deal with patrons when they can spell power their lightning storm and later on 2 hex won't be enough to answer your giants if you can copy them with blood warriors.So in theory i would argue that these are all decent match-ups.Now there is Dragon Warrior and Malygos Druid left to ban.Since this deck only runs 1 execute, both of these decks can be a problem since their minions are all quite high on health.DrHippies Malydruid doesn't run Mulch and the Dragon Warrior doesn't run executes or brawls and therefore they can't really deal with your threats either.So both of these match-ups basically come down to a race: who can get his big threats out first.Between Malygos Druid and Dragon Warrior the druid is way faster in producing big minions because 1) they have arcane giants themselves and 2) they have additional ramp (especially innervate) to get out their giants faster than you.So yes, druids can also beat you early if they can develop a giant in the first couple of turns when you don't have your execute.So maybe that's why he chose to ban druid here.But then again - I'm not HotMEOWTH and I also don't have the necessary experience with this deck.
Arcane Giant & Grim Patron ... interesting card, but not yet perfect the problems are many: difficulties in draw, difficulty of use ... if you get one patron or to the giant game becomes very hard with many AOE but little substance.
This deck has the best swing turns in the meta right now its like handlock's play from behind tactic but stronger. Use your resourcves carefuly and dominate the board in one turn. With Emperor on turn 6-7 its childsplay to comeback but if you dont have emperor thats where you have to take some risks :)
İm playin with -1 Bloodmage +1 Brawl (high popularity of shaman)
Against rogue-druid-hunter-zoo slam patron then inner rage+ whirlwind. Usually they cant come back from that.
Against shaman hold your pyro combo as long as you can. İf they get hype and attack your face armorsmith shenanigans destroy them. Brawl tech really helps here.
Against controls if you manage to find golden monkey fast you win the game otherwise its a bad match-up imo. 4x arcane giant isnt enough value nor tempo to beat CW.
Match ups from easiest to hardest. Druid-Zoo-Rogue-Midrange hunter-face hunter-shaman-CW. They are all winnable but requires precise game reading and perception.
This deck is absurdly rewarding but takes so much time to master,you have to make so many decisions every turn.
Actually i rekt the ladder from 19-14 with this list. Of course it is extremely low rank but my point is that the title is ultra misleading. This is a combo deck with patron help to bait out AOE and Brawl. 70% win rate with it , just prioritise Card draw and get the combo quick enough
And druids have no Answer for Any of your big plays : Patron, Arcane giant , Golden monkey and most important Well planned armorsmith

No Frothing Berserker I think is a big mistake. With so many activators its like 2 more win conditions in a deck made for it.

someone JUST used this against me, i just brawled his patron board and slammed his two giants and executed the duplicate. gg LUL patrons just dont work in a shaman infested meta with all the aoes

This is a spin-off of Reynads Arcane Giant warrior. Its a very difficult deck to play, and since Execute got nerffed, I don't think it is nearly as good as it used to be. Super fun deck to play, but probably not the best if you want to take blizzcon.
why is this deck here? grim patron warrior is crap, no matter the build
This deck is just horribly constructed. Even something as simple as just running 1 copy of Patron would already make a random observer triggered, let alone me. You cannot build your deck around a single card, that's just dumb because you are not gonna get it as often as you normally would a two of. And that is just the least of the problems with this deck!
Adding Arcane Giants and Elise and only playing one copy of Patron has drastically reduced the consistency of the Blood Warrior list and we have seen that being punished time and time again by DrHippi as he went 4-0 against HotMEOWTH.
Down below is my take on it which was popular a couple of months ago on Hearthpwn and I highlighted exactly why the deck had to be built in that way, to maximise your Patron "pop off" rate . Currently, because of the Execute nerf, I'm playing the 2x Shield Block / 2x Shield Slam version as I think the one mana difference actually puts shield slam combos above the execute combos, due to their value.
All in all, I hope you guys do not get disheartened by seeing that atrocious performance, as you gotta remember, the deck Meowth brought wasn't well-built to begin with and was just a poor imitation with more power plays which got rid of the consistency completely.
Duno why Hot bring that deck... there is no concept for that deck, no strong early game mid game with everyone getting there is funny but can be easily countered, and late game with arcane giants with blood warriors... ok mostly you dead by this time...
