So seeing the new hunter card I decided to see if I could make a deck using it that would be effective. As it is a beast with DR I figured why not, lets make a DR aggro deck. Now the issue I came to is that there just inst enough low drop dr's for hunter that are useful so I kept the ones we normally see in hunter decks, added in some undertakers and the new spider and gave it the core aggro set that we all know and love. The deck should be able to draw out a lot of power from your opponent and allow you to use your secrets and weapon to begin the process of weakening them down. It also comes with 2x Arcane Golems and a Leeroy for that punch to the gut when needed.
Mulligan's
Rogue-Mage: Deadly Shot, Flare, Undertaker, all Death Rattle cards. As much as people think it will go away Miracle decks are here to stay. So having a response to stealth is important. Deadly shot and Flare make short work of these things. For Mage your going to want those flares. With the new secret and Ice block, being able to remove their ability to
All other decks. Undertaker, Death Rattle cards, Secrets and Bow
Is baron to slow for this as well? The new legendary that uses deathrattle twice?
yep though in priest he can do some amazing things
Why priest particularly?
turn 3 dark cultist turn 4 baron sack play the dark cultist into something baron becomes 1/13 turn 5 double hp and flip it to attack :) even if they silence the 1/13 its still a 1/7 and thus 14 damage. And even if they spend a hard removal that just makes the rest of the deck awesome
Very smart :D I like that. Thank you!
I really think priest is going to be strong in nax
Dancing Swords? I realise it lacks charge, but great stats and a deathrattle. Who cares if opponent gets a card when ur smashing a 4/4 into his face? :D
Yeah. It's probably something to consider. The tempo that a 4/4 for 3 gives is pretty good. Even if they waste half of their turn using their hero power on it (and gaining 1 card advantage), it still gained you a considerable amount of tempo. I'd personally test it out because it has its possibilities.
in testing I tried dancing swords and they were not all that fast and I was forced to use them to remove a threat more then going to the face which is kinda a bad thing with them. I am however working on something with them in another deck which hopefully I will have up in a week or so.
Video very helpful.
snipe would be good as it stops before it starts however if you dont have one in hand then you will need another solution Im actually working on a different hunter deck for just this problem.
harvest golem or cairne would be good just for death rattle
harvest maybe in an aggro cairne too slow. and with all the silence spam that is coming almost a dead card.
Svannah Highmane and the Baron?
this is an aggro deck those two fall under too slow to be useful in this archetype...Now midrange thats a whole other ball game.
I disagree, even in an aggro deck a top of the curve is good, and maybe 1 Savannah Highmane could be beneficial, I mean come on, deathrattle effect is awesome. Also secretwise consider Snake Trap, terrific combo with Starving Buzzard in current meta.
I like this :D Can't wait to test this :D
well the spinner is a beast thus combos with other things and its dr thus combos with undertaker a good start yeah I can see that but hunter can control a bit with secrets and it is semi forgiving.
Could be interesting; worth a shot. I like the undertaker, and i've heard from people who playtested on Cockatrice that it's a beast (of a card), but the decks they have used typically have at least one more DR creature - harvest golems, usually. I'm not sure if those can be fit in; it would kind-of hurt the "rush" part - not a very aggressive creature.
May still work with 6 solid one-drops. Other classes don't have the one-drop in the webspinner though, which makes us faster. Any thoughts to the Baron in the deck? I'm not sure if he can reasonably fit, but it may require more of a control or mid-rangey shell.
The idea is to give a big threat early and then pound hard on the back end. With the kill commands and the leeroy and arcane your going to have 20 damage right there the rest you can make up with hero power weapon and a really nasty undertaker.
Undertaker + Coin + Webspinner. Defias Deja-vû.
