I have always loved midrange hunter. So when I pulled a Princess out of a pack on day one, I knew I would be playing some sweet hunter.

Day one was pretty brutal, I was trying to make forlorn stalker work, but it is just bait for disciple of Cthun and that tempo swing wrecked me every time. I dropped from rank 7 to rank 9 and was pretty annoyed.

I then tightened things to the current list and won at around a 70 percent clip to get to rank 5 and almost 4 before quitting for the night.

A few notes:

Carion Grub is amazing, it is exactly what you need to trade in the early game and is a perfect target for houndmaster.

The Princess is insane. Firing her at a bat or toad is fine. But when she targets a loot hoarder or infested wolf...the value is fantastic. And if you manage to target Sylvanas with her, that is usually game ending.

I went to 1 release the hounds as a bailout v zoo and aggro shaman and 1 hunters mark mainly for that 7/7 creep that shaman is running.

This deck has a nice curve but is light on draw, so loot hoarder/princess became a favored play on turn 7.

Also playing call of the wild on successive turns is a level of evil almost on par with b2b anyfins.

This deck is strong against all the shaman archetypes, can out tempo most Cthun decks and stands tall v deathrattle rogue. Dragon Priest and Tempo Mage are the biggest problems so far, but those can be won as well.
