Introduction:
I'm Sipiwi94. Last season I hit Legend #6. (I ended the season below this)
This deck is all about getting board control with good early game removals and minions. You have to keep making good trades all game until you have lethal. Remember to count for lethal because this deck has an unexpected burst with Assassin's Blade, Deadly Poison, Leeroy Jenkins, etc.
The cards:
The rogue cards are simply high value cards that often trade more than 1 for 1. This is not true for Sap and Cold Blood though. I found out that Sap was very good at closing out games since it's just a cheap Assassinate until the minion is played again. Cold Blood is also good at finishing games (Leeroy Jenkins +Cold Blood), or playd when the opponent has an empty board.
The neutral cards are also primarily high value cards. I want to highlight some though. Blood Knight is a decent minion that can single handedly win games. I often have Argent Squire + Blood Knight in my hand and it's very powerful. Loot Hoarder, Azure Drake and Bloodmage Thalnos are needed to not run out of cards, and spell power is very useful in most rogue decks.
I think Defias Ringleader deserves a mention here. I tried it out, but found more value in Harvest Golem and Loot Hoarders. It still a good alternative though.
If you don't have the legendaries Defias Ringleader or Scarlet Crusader could be an alternative to Nat Pagle and Bloodmage Thalnos since the card draws isn't a "must have" when you have Loot Hoarder. There is really no alternative to Leeroy Jenkins, but he is not needed for this deck to work. He could be replaced with Chillwind Yeti, Black Knight or whatever 4-5 drop you'd like.
Pros/cons
Pros:
- It does well against most decks.
- You have to make a lot of decisions (not like aggro lock).
- It feels good to win with this deck, since it's not just a lucky draw (sometimes a Leeroy pops out in a fortunate moment though :-P)
Cons:
- Taunts can be a pain. You can normally handle 1 or 2 big taunt but more can hurt.
Mulligan Strategy:
This depends on the match up, but there are some guidelines you could follow in the beginning.
- Backstab, Deadly Poison, Argent Squire, Loot Hoarder, Nat Pagle, Harvest Golem should almost always be kept in the hand.
- SI:7 Agent should almost always be kept as second player.
- Against aggro Eviscerate and second Backstab are sometimes worth keeping.
- Bloodmage Thalnos is usually a good keep if you have a Backstab
- You should seek a 1, 2, and 3-drop in your opening hand, so if you have 2 2-drops you might want to throw 1 away.
Last words:
I would love to hear if anyone has succes with the deck and if I'm missing something in this description of the deck. Good luck on the battlefield!

Changes:
15-03-2014: -1 Pagle, -2 Sen'jin, -2 Argent Commander, +2 Defias Ringleader, +2 Chillwind Yeti, +1 Sprint
08-04-2014: - 1 Blood Knight, -1 Sap, -1 Cold Blood, +1 Black Knight, +1 Cairne Bloodhoof, +1 Edwin van Cleef
How do you deal with handlock? It seems like an auto-loss most of the time, not enough removal to deal with giants and not enough burst in the beginning to take out the handlock before taunted giants come stomping in...
Hi Sipiwi94,
what do u think about Ragnaros the Firelord replacing edwin/cairne?
btw very nice deck :D
If you want big minions I like Argent Commanders.
I built this deck without purchasing cards but I lack leeroy jenkins and bloodmage thalnos. Im farming up some enchanting dust or W/E for bloodmage. I'm owning but those shamans are hard! Add me #alexfithero1856 I need some tips on some of the classes ty
Hey Sipiwi94
Is there any replace for cairne? I really love this deck but im looking for something to replace cairne slot.
Also, what are your thoughts on perdition's blade? I tried it and seems like a good card.
Anyways, thanks men, keep up the good work.
You can swap out Cairne with Perditions Blade if you want. Cairne secures that you don't run out of cards as much. I think it can work well with that swap too though
I believe that shadowstep goes so much better with this deck than cold blood. It just has so much more utility, with SI:7, Leeroy, Defender of Argus, even Defias and Blood Knight vs aggro.
Other than that, great deck.
Also, since I run similar deck, I sometimes swap in Cairne which can be fantastic vs control, especially if you have board presence in the mid game, which you should with a deck like this.
hearthstoneplayers.com/guide-tempo-rogue-sipiwi94/ is more updated. But I have made changes since then too
I reached legend with this deck 2 seasons. And you draw cards with Loot Hoarder and Azure Drake too? What's your rank in constructed? You don't seem to understand what this deck is about.
Hey, I love this deck, but I'm having some problems with the control warrior deck around rank 8, the one that has 6 or 7 legendaries :P. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips on how this deck can beat that?
Its hard. Just play and hope for no brawl
I'm actually having great success with the deck moving from rank 10 to rank 5 atm and still ain't having any problems with any particular match-up. I'll post further success stories.
Hey man thanks a lot for this deck!
I've been using it with good success and I think its really fun to play!
I was just wondering, now with the Pagle nerfs, what would you replace him with? Or even keep him in?
I think Rogue jsut runs out of cards so easily and Pagle nerf actually hit rogue pretty hard.
I have remade the deck a bit after the changes in meta due to no tink masters and Pagle. Will update this list soon
sipiwi94, why are you playing Druid on a screenshot of your Leg. rank 6? And not a single rogue in your deck collection! :)
When you reach legend it's all about what the meta is on the particular day. That day there were almost only charge hunters and aggro locks so I didn't wanna play rogue. But I'm not an "only rogue" player. I just think it's a good deck to rank up fast with
Tried it, the deck is just so good, but right now I'm having a huge trouble vs Shaman. Any tips for this?
Decent deck, but it gets absolutely steamrolled by a good aggro deck, unless it gets an excellent draw. It also loses badly to quite a few control deck.
In general I find the deck to slow, don't like it, sorry.
I love this deck! 10+ win streak to level11.
Liking the deck. Swapped a few things around (e.g Perdition's Blade over Assassin's and Tinkmaster Overspark instead of bloodknight )
But yea, thanks for the deck Sipiwi! :) Currently at Rank 13
P.S
Just started a new twitch channel and i'm streaming this rogue deck, if anyone wants to come check it out :)
