I've had a 80% win rate with this deck on ladder so far, zoo is definitely a great choice to climb with as it absolutely farms Tempo Mage, Druid, and Warriors and has a good chance against cancer Paladin.
Big Game Hunter and Soulfire is what zoo needed to be competitive again, try them and you won't be disappointed.
Dire Wolf Alpha, Ironbeak Owl or a second Flame Imp are all valid replacements
2x sea giant
Hey, thanks for the deck!
I was wondering what you thought of including a Loatheb into the list? I feel like its a good board protection.
Also since I don't have Mal'Ganis yet, what do you think of subbing in a Fearsome Doomguard? I've read your thoughts on the significance of Mal'Ganis with the Voidcaller, but still I think its passable.
What do you think?
way to slow for current meta, hunter eats this alive that is all that matters, and every noob is playing hunter these days, oh and btw, i think you played very bad mage players, cause tempo has a very good match up against this.
I hit legend with tempo mage last season and hit legend with zoolock this season so I know this matchup from both sides well and it's heavily favorable for zoo.
Hotform said in guide to his tempo mage: Zoo Warlock is the hardest matchup for this deck. You can only generate pressure at the start, you cannot take back the board later except with Flamestrike and the Warlock will out card you.
A lot of tempo mages doesn't even run Flamestrike these days.
good tempo players who know the meta a bit will play double arcane missiles, double arcane blast and flamecannon/torch + water elemental, Frostbolt , all which are problematic, if they happen to draw flamewaker, you will need to tap a lot to keep up with their tempo, and open you up for face fireballs.
However with loe out, i must say that the discover minions help the deck get tempo. remind that when tapping and not playing a card you loose tempo opposed to tempo who can just stack up for a huge flamewaker turn. I think that zoo needs to think about running a copy of Arcane golemn and faceless just to have a large extra push to prevent Reno or other shenigans.
PS: Not playing flamestrike on ladder might be folly at current times
İ got legend for the first time with this deck in the last 5 hours today. Grinded my way up from rank 3 to legend and had a winstreak at rank 1:) very nice deck, zoo still rocks !
in what cases do you understand that Soulfire is needed ? And what do you think about Sylvanna, Void Terror combos with [card]Nerubian Egg[/card] or [card]Power Overwhelming[/card]. And u rly think that owl so bad in current meta ? when so a lot Mad Scientist, secret paladins, buffs etc.
Malganis and sea gaint isn't to slow in this aggro-temp meta ?
Mal'Ganis is pretty much one of the most powerful minions to have on the board in the game and being able to cheat it out for 4 mana forces your opponent to have an immediate answer or lose so I think it's a good inclusion in the deck. There's a lot of situations where you can play a Sea Giant for 5 or less mana which is like a Fel Reaver with no downside.
I think Sylvanas is too slow, Void Terror is decent you can definitely replace something for him. I never said owl was bad, silence is never bad but there's a lot of situational cards in the deck already so I didn't include it in this version. The only thing owl is good against vs secret paladin is Tirion, silencing avenge or a coghammer effect is pretty subpar.
Thanks for answer! agree with you, and already played well with your kind of zoo deck. Need more time to test, but already i can say it's good to have soul fire, sea gaint, malganis and no owl(cause it's too situational like u already said)!
But owl helps more against hunter or mage use it on mad scientist. (who are a lot in this meta). I played 12 games and win 8 on rank 3-4, and can say it's good to have less situational cards, and don't have much problems with it.
I tried a demonless version with both but I think this version is stronger.
Great deck, if no Mal'Ganis, should I drop the Voidcallers?
Voidcallers are still playable even without Mal'Ganis, they're just significantly less good.
this deck is nice 5-1 so far killed two warriors in 6 turns lost to a dragon preist
Any good Sub for Sea Giant
Void Terror.
What I like about zoo is that it almost never rng based, I hate soulfire I am running silence instead seems like a pretty standard zoo list to me.
Almost the Same list I had while putting all the "must haves" seems like most zoo decks build themselves XD I thought it was outdated so I didn't play it.
You are right about -1 flame imp normally I feel bad about having -3 hp for just a 2 drop latter on.. specially on an aggressive meta.
running bgh + 2abusive + DID actually makes the card more consistant
THanks for proving zoo still works Ireally like the deck but felt it wasn't relevant..
Hello. Thanks for deck, it's very good. What do you think about Bane of Doom ?
I think it's a worse Implosion in most cases. There's only like 5 or 6 demons you'll be happy to get out of like 20.
Thanks. Can you show winrate of this deck, if it's possible ?
i used forstwolf warlord
