This deck has been destroying every deck.
I played it at rank 5, got me on a 5 win streak against all these new value-oriented midrange type decks (you can find the decklist there if you're interested).
Dragon Priest is a cool concept, except dropping minions that are nothing but a bunch of stats in the first 4 turns of a game means you will almost always lose to any faster aggressive tempo deck.
So I felt the need to point out that, although it is certainly a good list it does not "destroy every deck", only decks that cannot take advantage of how greedy it is.
People also need to realise that TGT hasn't even been out for a week, so the surprise factor is favoring all the new decks. Once things settle down and people acknowledge Dragon Priest (if this is still a thing by then) they'll be able to identify it turn 1 when you drop your
Glorified Zombie ChowTwilight Whelp and play against it accordinglyGiiving it a go. Missing Ysara and Justicar. Replaced with Chrom and Sylvanas.
2-1 in a short test. First game was a loss, and did not have a minion to play until turn 4 against an face Hunter.
Just keeping an eye on the curve.
All these dragon decks and no Fjola Lightbane Eydis Darkbane or Chromaggus. you're all doing it wrong yo. Won so many games with all 3. Just replace Dark Cultists with the legendary babes and whatever you feel like for Chromagus, he combos so nicely with this decks natural way to draw.
do you play so much spells?
I have tried it and those cards just add Fjola and Eydis just add inconsistancy. You gotta drop them on curve and spend mana on their effects, and then wait for it to hit minions or lose tempo. Didnt like them at all.
Missing two cards, Justicar Trueheart, and Chillmaw. I have enough dust to craft one, any priority of one over the other?
i think Chillmaw is superior since you can use it in any dragon deck ... justicar is very good in 2 or 3 classes only ... like warrior paladin and priest maybe ... and powerlevel wise .. chillmaw is kinda like tirion fordring ..maybe sometimes even better .. so that's saying alot
Thanks. I crafted Chillmaw and went on a nice little win streak from rank 9 to rank 5. It made a big difference in win rate for me.
Replace it with another 3 or 4 drop minion, you dont want to end up drawing both of them with an empty board.
Kibler doesnt run cultists but runs sylvannas and chromaggus
Oh nice you added Justicar Trueheart, and I can't wait to try the new addition tonight! Btw, this is a blast to play and I really like this deck. I hope you cont to update it going forward, and I love Priest decks WITHOUT the Deathlord card!
Thoughts on Chromagus instead of Nefarian?
That's a good idea I think. Even tho Nefarian is a good card. There are many games where the class spells help out big time, so I'm not sure but I'll willing to give it a try.
I like Justicar Trueheart instead of Emperor Thaurissan.
After playing this deck last night, and having very good results...I think I agree with you. While the Emperor Thaurissan is nice, the extra healing from Justicar Trueheart will be better :)
I'm currently 3-1 with this deck at low ranks. (15-10)
Only deck I've lost to is a Demon Zoo. And that's because he got tempo a lot faster than I did and got a last second top deck Jaraxxus :(
Besides that, gaining tempo and control with this deck is very strong with all the early game buffs/taunts.
I would recommend this to anyone that wants to have fun playing it and do well.
I swapped out Vol'Jin for a Loatheb since I don't have it and swapped out Ysera with a Chromaggus, since I don't have it either and it's been working out pretty well.
What about Cabal Shadow Priest?
replacement for ysera?
I added in Chromaggus, since it's a dragon and you still get an extra card, but other than that, I haven't tried anything new.
I play this exact deck with Loatheb for Voljin and I am getting rekt. Lost to oil rogue, lost to freeze mage, lost to hand lock. Im gonna keep testing but things dont look too good.
