Miracle Rogue was first created by a player name Sveno. He created the deck before Hearthstone was even playable. Then sometime later after balance changes, a guy that went my the name of Travis built it again, and that is the original post on Hearthpwn. Then, it was nerfed again. After that, a very popular player named Kolento remade the deck in the summer of 2014. Finally, miracle rogue was nerfed again. The nerfs to both Gadgetzan Auctioneer and Leeroy Jenkinskilled the deck.
The History of Rogue
Beta Travis Miracle
Kolento Miracle
Nice list, easily the best post Leeroy nerf miracle that I've played (have not had good luck with all the Malygos versions that are floating around).
I've ended up replacing Sprint with a Defias Ringleader. There are definitely times when Sprint is great, but overall, I wasn't finding myself needing the additional card draw, and at 7 mana, it just didn't seem very efficient. Still have no problem generating tokens without it, and Defias Ringleader has been nice in creating a little early pressure assuming I can get it out there with coin, or when combo'd with Violet Teacher on the board, synergizes rather well in adding another token.
I do really like that idea. The thing is that I just love sprint because to rounds the deck off well because it covers a weak spot
I agree with flood here. Sprint has saved me too many times when I've been down. Using it with prep is genius especially late when you already have an auctioneer out.
I have bad luck with getting the Violet Teacher out in turn four. That card always escapes my hand till later ;-S
Yeah sprint is too good in this deck
I usually just drop si and violet even without coin or spell to go through early and yeah prep sprint is too good in this deck. Saved me so many times when gadget failed me
I'll echo that!
thanks antyteza
I have been having some success with trying for early combos like Deadly Poison, Backstab, Si7, & Shade. I usually keep Auctioneer in my hand.
Really I think it takes time to try to think what the other guy might play and try to set yourself up the best for that.
For example if you think they're aggro then muligan for removal. If you think they are playing a slower deck then you can keep some of the more expensive cards in hand. Usually a bit of luck helps as well :-)
Cards I always throw back are:
Loatheb
Azure Drake
Sprint
Bloodmage Thalnos
Conceal (unless auctioneer is there)
Preparation
Hope that helps. I'd love to hear some thoughts from Flood on this as well
Good luck!
RP
I understand what you are saying I just got home and I will work on a mulligan guide or something tonight.
Im sorry I can't be very active school started and I have a lot happening right now lol <3
I deal with zoo by mulliganing for cheap removal like Si7, Backstab, Deadly Poison, Blade Flurry etc
Try to kill as many minions as you can and go for tempo plays with cards like shade of naxx.
Basically you need to hang on, kill minions and chip away at his health until you can auctioneer or prep + sprint to gain card advantage. Dont be afraid of taking damage to remove his minions as this will force him to life tap which makes it easier to finish him with a Loatheb + double cold blood combo or something around turn 7/8.
Yeah the thing is that you need 2 primary cards (deck hand and faceless) + secondary cards (cold blood) and before all you needed was leeroy because you could use shadowsteps on gadgetzan or on si:7. Also you had cold bloods or sinister strikes that always got damage in.
It is very hard to explain lol I didn't do a very good job there but please ask more questions I will do my best
Nice job this deck is really good
Hi Flood,
I'm digging the deck man. I love the miracle concepts with all the cards flying everywhere.
I've personally found that swapping out the Azure Drake for a Sludge Belcher really handy. I'm getting a lot more wins at the 14 - 13 rank. Am planning on grinding this deck up to legendary next season.
Would you be able to give any advice on mulliganing? Thats what I struggle with most.
Thanks
RP
Ok I'm getting the hang of it I think. Have moved up to rank 9 in the last two hours. :D
Sounds really great, I will work on a guide tonight hopefully
sorry, this deck is crap. relies way too much on lucky draw for start hand and extra coin. w/l of priest 1/3, pally 0/1, lock 0/3, shaman 0/1, mage 0/1. 1/9 to me just sux! tempo rogue is much more reliable.
seems very odd you lost some of the easiest match ups like priest, shaman and paladin.
this deck doesnt have any low mana minions to take board control. pally used that weapon that gives minions +1/+1 when summoned and flooded the board early. nothing in the deck to contain or clear that. priest aoes and mind control. shaman spirit wolves turn 3 and 4. not my 1st rodeo. no i havent made legend yet, best so far rank 7. but this season alone i have made rank 7 then conceded back to 20 and back to 8 again 4 times(burnin up the wins for hunter golden). this deck just seems to rely on good card draw early on too much.
again, if the start hand draw is in your favor. have played it more this morning. so far today: lock 1/0, mage 1/2, druid 1/1, pally 0/2, hunter 1/1, shaman 0/1, priest 1/0. so 5/7 so far today, still not good results. will try it lil more before i just go back to tempo.
Well the thing is that you are not naming any decks that are giving you trouble, I know no paladin runs SoJ and priest having mindcontrol shouldn't worry you at all because if they actually invest in a turn to MC you will probably win and Shaman using turn 3 wofls is very easy for you to deal with because of all the early game removal
1) well the thing is that auctioneer is only 2 cards out of 30 so not getting it in the first 20 shouldn't be a throw away game as it often was before. The strongest play is prep+ sprint because Prep can often be a very dead card and if you have 2 situation card you can turn them into a very powerful cycle.
2) Honestly I feel the handlock match up is about a 50-50, not that you are more minion based you can easily kill threats as well as out tempo with shades, teachers and sap.
Just adding my 50 cents, but you could try playing a Big Game Hunter or two in place of the Shades of Naxxramas to help out against Handlock giants if they make up most of your current ladder metagame.
