Hello, first Deck i put on here... Playing HS for around 3 months now maining warrior since the day I started. since the TGT update was revealed I was thinking of what a great boost this will be for the Control type Warrior decks. So before I start this I wanna say thanks to Banehallow who was my "mentor" . Also big BIG thanks to Tassadar who is always helping in the deck build and usually shares it and FaiaNG who helped with the text bellow...
How High can it go..?
According to my opinion ( TGT is not out yet to put it on the test ) This Deck could take you easily up to Rank 5 - Legend
Why Warrior..?
Its simple enough, Warrior is the main and probably the absolute Master of control decks, his Hero Power, Spells and Weapons are meant to create a beautiful combination that can clear the Board without many casualties on his "precious cards"
Why Those Cards..?
In my personal opinion some of the TGT cards are a really big boost for control Decks, we saw in the past months that Aggro/Face decks were and still are rulling around and most of control Decks had to change to Anti-Meta Control. Well my friends can you hear the wind of change..? Cause I definately can.. with Cards like Chillmaw and Twilight Guardian I really believe Aggro/Face Decks will find it way more difficult to go through plus using Cards like Bash , Slam and Shield Slam you can gain the early/mid control of the game... now for your late game you have an army of well combined Legendaries to do the job.
Tactics...
Starting a game you should aim for one of your Fiery War Axe in your starting hand so If you don't have it.. replace all your cards Except you are holding a Death's Bite
Try to identify what deck you are facing and always try to counter its moves, keep in mind what is the worst case scenario and play like this is going to happen... that will usually save you from "easy to make" mistakes...
So what we are trying to do here is to exterminate every possible "Threat" that comes out by killing or stalling our opponent and then attack when the Board is clean.. always keep in mind that Controlling the board is what we do! Use your Weapons/Mid-Game Cards and Spells to kill every possible threat in early game and then Unleash the raw power of your Late-Game Cards.
TIP : Use Justicar Trueheart as soon as you can, so your Hero Power will upgrade to "Gain 4 Armor" instead of 2.
TIP 2 : I ve recently learned that if you have Chromaggus on the Board and then you play Varian Wrynn the Minions that will be spawned in the Board will also come in your hand, so keep that in mind and try to make a combo out of it especially if you have only a few cards in your hand.
AVOID : Do not for any reason drop Varian Wrynn without having At least Alexstrasza In your arms, it could ruin her completely. Varian Wrynn is a VERY powerful Card if it's used with caution but it could ruin your game by throwing 3 Battlecry minions on the board.
Dust price...
I know 16k seems crazy high but If you have the BRM and you already play a control warrior then you know that the 16k is not the real price since most of the cards are already in your collection.
Latest Update, why remove Dr.Boom..?
Dr. Boom is an amazing Card! I just believe Chromaggus fits better in the current Deck.

anyone made decent rank with this deck i just made it and am curious? i would say syvanas over shieldmaiden cos you lose battlecry from varian on shield and sylvanas for brawls :)
Maybe replace Shieldmaiden with [card]Sylvanas Windrunner[/card]? Both 6 mana, but Sylvanas is kind of powerful...
Is this really better than older non-dragon versions? I mean, you are giving up on a lot of activators for Grommash. Also, after playing Justicar, you need to heropower three times to get more armor than with a shieldmaiden, also considering it is slower and he has a worse body, why is he in??
You do not lose your heropower with Shieldmaide, it is just a bit slower... SM: 5+(2×3)=11, JT: 0+(4×3)=12. My calculations are fine, and you need 3 turns for him to be better.
I've been playing control warrior with Trueheart pretty much every single day since the release of TGT and I think it's an amazing card. In control vs. control matchups gaining 4 armor every turn in the extreme late game can easily win you games. Especially in games that go to fatigue.
I dont think running Trueheart over Sylvanas is good enough. Sylvanas really fits the control theme and provides sureways to win brawls.
And you haven't bothered to update anything. Ok.
A few questions:
Do you think Justicar Trueheart is good enough to take up the 6-drop spot, replacing Sylvanas and Thaurissan? The question is how many times will you be able to use your hero power after Trueheart... my guess is not that many. Do you think it's worth it?
Is Chillmaw still worth a spot even if you don't face that much Patron Warrior?
It feelsl like Cruel Taskmaster is an essential part of Control Warrior. Are you doing well without it? If you were to put one in, what would you cut?

Why do you play so many "decent" dragons like Chillmaw and Chromaggus when you only play Twilight Guardian as synergy card? I mean if I decide to make a dragon deck, I would also pick other synergy cards like Blackwing Corruptor. There are much better replacements for Chillmaw and Chromaggus like Ragnaros, Sneeds, Nefarian etc...

I would consider swapping out the Slam for a second Bash, they most often do the same job but Bash is better against agro and can kill bigger things. I managed to kill off a Totem Golem along with an Armorsmith because of it. I'd also consider swapping out the Twilight Guardians for Deathlord if the meta is dominated by agro.
This deck sucks so bad. It depends on you getting to turn 10 and getting good drwas from VariAN
I would HIGHLY doubt that any deck is centered around just one card. And if you were to check the list you would see that there are quite a few Non Varian cards up there that can get the job done.
took out justicar and chillmaw for ragnaros and emperor. More synergy with varian and seems more consistent. Also replaced a brawl with revenge to get an activator for grom and also to counter aggro decks
i've lost twice against a combo druid, lost vs zoolock and eboladin, i've only beaten 2 facehunters and 1 was just lucky, and im at rank 11 :(
Needs more legendaries
How about Alexstrasza's Champion? Isn't it enough to put in this deck?
The deck really needs a whirlwind. Twilight Guardian is not that effective in a meta with so many 4 mana early game minions.
I've been running this decklist on the ladder today, and while I initially had my concerns, I've seen an immense amount of success. The only change I made was swapping one Brawl for another Shieldmaiden, as board control hasn't been much of an issue. It is the first day of the new expansion, so I'm sure the meta is going to change, but right now this deck is excellent! Kudos to you, sir.
Also, addressing the issue of Varian Wrynn with Battlecry minions, I personally haven't run into too much trouble with this, as he usually comes out late enough for 2 or 3 free minions to be enough to win regardless of their abilities. While I have drawn cards like Alexstrasza and Justicar Trueheart, it doesn't happen often and 10 mana for, say, a 7/7 and an 8/8 is no bad deal.

The amount of battlecrys seems counter-intuitive to what Varian brings. Right off the top I would cut Justicar and Twilight Guardians, perhaps more. Seems way to cult of the new for me.
