THE FIFTH ELEMENT: BLOOD

Hellodear players, i want to show you something we haven't seen for a looong time: The new Bloodlust shaman! As you already seen, it's not the classic shaman deck, if not for some cards like  card]earth shock[ card] and Fire Elemental, i wanted to try something different, something new! I'm sharing this deck list with you, hoping you'll have a lot of fun with this deck as i did!

CARD EXPLANATION

Some cards in this deck might seem unusual, but with a quick explanation i hope i will convince you that are necessary.

Why Ironbeak Owl instead double Earth Shock?

The reason is Because this is a Blood shaman. In a deck like this, you have to fill the board with creatures, Preparing for using Bloodlust and finish your opponent with a huge burst.

If i had a Double card]earth Shock[ card] i would have 1 less creature in my deck and that means -5 damage with my combo which could be crucial to win the game.

Why Feral Spirit?

It's a really nice card. its purpose it's to protect you in early game and/or protect  yourminions preparing for the combo. And also, this spell summon 2 minions for 3 mana. if you play this in turn 6 with the enemy board empty, it means + 10 damage (with Bloodlust) next turn, which is huge.

Why double Lightning Storm?

In this aggro meta, you need some aoe damage to keep board control and make the game more easy. I feel than only one isn't enough.

Why double Shade of Naxxramas?

Because are really useful. If played in early game, it's a guaranteed damage when you'll use Bloodlust, like a druid when use the Force of Nature and Savage Roar combo.

And now, the most important question...

Why Bloodlust? And why 2 of them!?

Bloodlust it's a Huge damage Burst. +3 damage to all your minions means that your totem become dangerous, your small minions become a huge threat and the big minions laugh at Deathwing (YOU WILL BURN!). And if you have the luck -yeah, the luck- to drop 2 of them in late game that means +6 damage every single minion. That means 12 damage on turn 10 only with 2 minion on the board and only with the Bloodlust bonus. And also, is a TOTALLY unexpected card at the moment, and the enemy doesn't play around it.

EDIT 1: I replaced Lava Burst for Loatheb. The reason is pretty logic: first of all is a great body for 5 mana, and he's really useful when you want to prevent your enemy aoe from clearing your board and guarantee a massive Bloodlust destruction.

EDIT 2: To counter Warriors and hunters, i replaced a Haunted Creeper for Acidic Swamp Ooze. Destroy their weapon in a crucial moment can save the game. I've chosen the ooze instead Harrison Jones because i think it too slow for this deck, but is a personal choice be free to put whatever you want in your deck! I also replaced a Antique Healbot for Dr. Boom. With the addition of Acidic Swamp Ooze, you can counter these two class better and so you can get more value with bloodlust with Dr. Balance!

FAVOURED AND BAD MATCH AND MULLIGAN

This deck can compete with all the decks in the current meta, with no exceptions, but some matchups are  a bit complicated.

DRUID: favored match

You have the element of surprise by your side. Mulligan for Haunted Creeper, Shade of Naxxramas and Hex, to deal with big minions he could pull out with Innervate. In late game, keep 1 silence in your hand to ignore a taunt in case you're preparing for the combo.

HUNTER: favored match/60%-40%

Face hunter isn't a problem, unless he has a god draw. Mulligan for Lightning Storm/Antique Healbot, Haunted Creeper and Feral Spirit. if you're a bit lucky, you finish him in turn 5 with some minions on the board and Bloodlust.

Midrange is a bit different. While face hunter doesn't trade to anything, you have to be a little more careful vs this type of hunter. Mulligan for Haunted Creeper, Feral Spirit and Rockbiter Weapon to deal with minions like Knife Juggler or Animal Companion. In late game, keep hex for his Savannah Highmane and stay alive with Antique Healbot. this math is usually 60%-40% but with some bad draw, you have no chance unfortunately.

MAGE: 50%-50%

Freeze mage is a bit hard, but not impossible. the fact he has to wait a lot to kill you means you have a lot of turns to prepare your combo. Mulligan for Shade of Naxxramas, Haunted Creeper and a silence for his Mad Scientist/Acolyte of Pain/Doomsayer. if you silence the doomsayer  and he don't freeze you again, it's easy to win with bloodlust combo, unless he played a Ice Block early.

Mech mage is kinda annoying, it's even harder than freeze mage. mulligan for Lightning Storm, Antique Healbot and Feral Spirit. Try to get more value as possible from your lightning storm, if you do it for only 2 minions, it's a completely waste and you probably lose the game.

PALADIN: favored match

Any kind of paladin i met with this deck, have been easy prey for me, i hope will be it for you too.

Mulligan for Shade of Naxxramas, Haunted Creeper and Whirling Zap-o-matic. if you draw a Lightning Storm early is really good, you wouldn't have too many problem to beat a paladin.

PRIEST: favored match

Like the druid, a priest doesn't really expect a damage burst with Bloodlust unless he gets it with Thoughtsteal. These two class can play better around it, so be sneaky about your combo. Don't let your opponent know you're playing around Bloodlust until it's too late. Mulligan for Haunted Creeper, Whirling Zap-o-matic and Shade of Naxxramas and play around his Holy Nova and Auchenai Soulpriest and  Circle of Healing combo .if you play well around it, you would't have too many problem to beat them.

ROGUE: favored match

If it's a mill rogue, it should be a really easy game. if it's Oil, you must play around his Blade Flurry. The best way to kill an oil rogue is with Al'Akir the Windlord or with Doomhammer and Rockbiter Weapon combo, cause he has a huge aoe damage and it's a bit hard to finish him with Bloodlust. mulligan for Haunted Creeper, Piloted Shredder and Feral Spirit, and try to play around his aoe. Try to don't use your Rockbiter Weapon and keep it for the combo with doomhammer. if he doesn't play a blade flurry early, you could have the possibility to bring him to less than 10 health with bloodlust and then finish him with Doomhammer

SHAMAN: favored match

Mech shaman isn't hard cause he runs only 1 lightning storm, sometimes none so he can't deal with all your minions. mulligan for Lightning Storm, Haunted Creeper and Shade of Naxxramas, get value from your lightning storm and finish him with the combo. keep Hex for his Fel Reaver/Fire Elemental/Dr. Boom

I didn't met so much malygos shaman so i don't know what to mulligan and how to play, i will tell you more when i fight some more! sorry!

WARLOCK: favored match

Another class that is really vulnerable to Bloodlust. if is a zoo lock mulligan for a silence, Lightning Storm and Whirling Zap-o-matic. More than other class, is important to stop his early aggression and making him tap and getting closer to our combo range. Silence Imp Gang Boss or Voidcaller and get value with your aoe. It's easy to finish if you have some minions on the board and Doomhammer. keep Hex for his Doomguard.

If it's a handlock the playstile is completely different, and is my favorite match to play against. Mulligan for Shade of Naxxramas (both if you can) silence and Haunted Creeper/Rockbiter Weapon. play around his Hellfire, bring him to 25-20 health and stop attacking the hero, just trade a bit and fill your board with minions. When you see the opportunity, kill him with the combo. Keep silence for his Sludge Belcher (if you're planning to finish him next few turns) and Hexfor his giant. It's not a really easy match, requires some skills to be played at the best... Think about what you're going to do and what could he have in his hand.

WARRIOR: 40%-60%

Sadly, here is your counter, especially control warrior. Mulligan for Shade of Naxxramas, Haunted Creeper and Feral Spirit. Try to not allow him to armor up too much, it's hard to kill him with this deck when he has 50 health. Play around his Brawl and be careful about Grommash Hellscream. keep Hex for his biggest minion, usually the war i met runs Ysera and Dr. Boom. keep Hex for them and silence for his taunts.

If it's patron warrior, mulligan for Rockbiter Weapon, Lightning Storm and Shade of Naxxramas. Hex his Emperor Thaurissan and keep the lightning storm for the Grim Patron combo (better with spell damage) and rockbiter for Frothing BerserkerWarsong Commander. it's a bit easier than control war, but be very careful to get value with the lightning storm and stop his grim patrons.

GOOD COMBOS

-Turn 6 Feral Spirit + Mana Tide Totem

-Turn 8 Azure Drake + Lightning Storm

-Turn 10 Bloodlust + Bloodlust (with at least 1 minion on the board)

-Turn 5 Doomhammer, turn 6 1 (10 damage) or 2 (16 damage) Rockbiter Weapon

-Turn 7 Feral Spirit + Whirling Zap-o-matic + hero power/2 drop, turn 8 Bloodlust + Rockbiter Weapon (on whirling zap)

-Turn 10 Al'Akir the Windlord + 1 (12 damage) or 2 (18 damage) Rockbiter Weapon

Enjoy!

PS: I'm actually trying to make some changes and add a legendary that -in theory- fit perfectly with this deck... I will tell you more soon!
