Thank you all for supporting this deck. Those of us playing Shaman realize we're fighting an uphill battle, but this just makes the climb more satisfying. These are the changes that I've made for the new season: Injured Blademasters, Ancestral Healing, and Fireguard Destroyers in place of the Mech synergy. This current variation seems to generate more tempo than any of the previous variations, and Ancestral Healing healing is good on more than Injured Blademasters. The three mana minion is variable, based on your needs. Play BGH if you're seeing lots of control, Earthen Ring versus aggro, Unbound if you're looking for tempo. You'll also notice that Sneed's Old Shredder is currently missing. Cairne Bloodhoof, however, is back. I can't resist the Cairne Bloodhoof + Defender of Argus + Reincarnate combo. If you have any thoughts, please feel free to share!
I'll take your cloaked Archmage Antonidas, sure.
What you can't see is the taunted Cairne Bloodhoofs underneath the Secret card (Always reincarnate Cairne for mid-game board control.)
Nice deck
Buen mazo el mejor! ;D
Thank you, my friend! Have you had some luck with it this season? I've been playing it off and on but not exclusively.
Gano mucho.... 15 Wins seguidas el mejor mazo de mi vida!!!, its is very op!!!
Great update! I'll try it out!
Hope it works for you! Bit of a learning curve. Basically, don't be afraid to use the Reincarnates early (against faster decks).
Well most of the time I use it on Nerubian Eggs.
Started a match with an Egg, Reincarnate, Injured Blademaster and Defender of Argus, probably best Mulligan you can get :-)
Also, the combo Sylvanas + Ancestral Healing, works like a charm :-)
Thanks for the update, Matt. What rank are you currently?
Hey Paly. Just Rank 15 at the moment, but the wins have been much easier to come by since these changes.
Good to hear.
love the reincarnate. but its is unfortunately not very strong to reach legend. However it is by for the most fun to play.
consider ancestral spirit and faceless manipulator!! works beautifully with this theme
But one can dream, Spiritis! One can dream... :)
Hi there again!
I made a New deck and it seems to go pretty well on the ladder (for now).
would you like to share your thoughts about it and maybe take it for a spin?
Thanks, Myst, I'll try this afternoon. How many cards have you been drawing with Cult Master? I'm incredibly interested in him as a draw engine for Shaman, though I feel I'd lose the identity of my deck to make him work.
Well, If you play him right, you can get at least 2 cards out of it, and if you have some minions to trade, sometimes even 3 or 4 :-)
Hey Trojan. I think you're right; Shaman + Control is certainly one of the harder ways to go about reaching Legend right now. This is part of what makes this deck so satisfying, though, you know you're doing something different. Would you mind sharing your deck for us to see?
Thanks for the insight, Trojan. Let us know how this deck works for you, and if you happen to incorporate your deck into it in any way!
Right now I'm experimenting with a Tempo/Overload variant of the list I've provided. Curious to see how this all plays out. I'm convinced there's some combination of cards here that can get this archetype to Legend!
Which should I craft Neptulon or Sylvanas for this deck, i can only craft one of them who is more staple?
Hey Robust. Definitely Sylvanas Windrunner. The idea is to let either her or Kel'Thuzad + Reincarnate win you the game. Sylvanas Windrunner is a great craft anyway, and Dr. Boom can replace Neptulon. Let me know how it turns out for you.
I love your deck! Made a variation of it, what do you think?
Hiya Mystalin. I'm glad you like it! My gut reaction is this: it seems there are too many "1-ofs", but this answer is only abstract and probably unhelpful. Certainly, the question becomes one of consistency. Honestly, this is something I struggle with in deck-building: how do I know if a card is a 1-of or 2-of? The rule as I've come to understand it says a 1-of is a situational card, where a 2-of is a "card" that gives the deck its backbone. So, what should the backbone of my deck be? Your deck, if it's something different?
Legendaries are obviously 1-of, BGH, Sky Golem, sure. Healbot. I'm coming around to Defender of Argus being a 1-of. I think Azure Drake and Sludge Belcher are both perhaps 2-ofs, although I realize this makes for a heavy curve. In your set, I'm wondering if you can ever hope to have a target for Powermace. This said, I'm wondering if this is something we should care about at all, and just take the Shaman tax on Fiery War Axe and be done. I like the idea of Sunfury Protector, but I'm worrying that by not buffing the totems at all they end up being ineffective.
This is all speculation, though. I'm curious why you made the changes you did, and how they've been working out for you. Let us know!
