Hi folks! First of all, I have always struggled with rogue. Of all the heroes I find it to be the most inconsistent. It's dependance on combos and use of cheap spells is surely to blame. Like most of you I had mediocre success pre-GVG with rogue by playing the popular miracle decks. I built this deck in an attempt to make something that is as consistent (or better) as pre-GVG miracle. I haven't got it nailed down yet but am working daily to do so. Expect changes!
Please note that I've updated the deck but have yet to update the details below. Some information may be irrelevant.
Concept
The strategy used with this deck is to build up board presence using a Iron Sensei and the various mechs while keeping a 1/2 weapon handy and saving weapon cards when possible. Maintain board control and chip your opponent down to 20-or-so health. Then you explode with weapon buffs and wreck them!
Core Cards - Everything else can be changed to suit mana/meta requirements.
Iron Sensei
Target Dummy
Deadly Poison
Goblin Auto-Barber
Mechwarper
Tinker's Sharpsword Oil
Mulligan Strategy
I typicaly mulligan hard for Target Dummy and Iron Sensei. Cheap mech bodies like Clockwork Gnome or Goblin Auto-Barber aren't bad either. However, it is very dependant on your opponents class and deck type.
'The Dream'
Clockwork Gnome (played turn 1)
The Coin (played turn 2)
Iron Sensei (played turn 2)
Target Dummy (played turn 2)
'The Other Dream'
The Coin (played turn 1)
Mechwarper (played turn 1)
Iron Sensei (played turn 2)
Target Dummy (played turn 2)
Mulligan Heroes Breakdown
If you find yourself with these cards against each opponent then don't dump them.
vs. Mirror: Backstab to get rid of potential Iron Sensei!
vs. Warrior: Deadly Poison for Acolyte of Pain.
vs. Druid: Deadly Poison for 3 damage on Mechwarper or Zombie Chow.
vs. Hunter: Backstab, Deadly Poison, or Eviscerate for early threats.
vs. Mage: Deadly Poison or Backstab to deal with Mana Wyrm, Snowchugger, and Undertaker.
vs. Priest: Deadly Poison for Northshire Cleric.
vs. Shaman: Nothing special, though I wouldn't send Deadly Poison -or- Backstab away.
vs. Cancer Warlock: I hope you have The Dream.
vs. Demon Warlock: Deadly Poison.
vs. Handlock: Go for the dream. Show that Ancient Watcher who's boss!
What happened to stealthiness?
Anyone following this deck knows it originally had Master of Disguisex2. They worked extremely well for about 3 days. I'm not entirely sure what changed but they're gone for now. I played several games with Conceal but didn't come out any better for it. I've found lately that people are still using their removal on the buffed minions instead of taking out Iron Sensei. Go figure.

I sincerely want to thank the author for this deck.
I've always liked Heathstone and spent a little real life money into it. However, it was extremely overwhelming trying to build decks as I kept getting beaten and I was still learning the game.
After finishing all the solo dungeons and spending a few bucks, I still couldn't be viable.
I left to play some other games and came back months later to see the program where it will update Heathpwn with your collection. Even though I did this manually and played with several decks on another site, I still couldn't find something that I could learn without feeling like like I needed to be a vet to work the deck properly.
I filtered what I had/available decks and came across yours. Let me tell you, this is a great deck. Not only because it isn't super reliant on chance but because it is very easy to pickup if you are not new to the game--but not a pro either. As a result, it has helped me learn other classes without losing every game so things remain fun. Not to mention, now that I got the hand of it (no pun intended), I am on a major win-streak.
TLDR: Here is 2016 I am here to say this deck is extremely viable for new and old players alike.
How do you use this deck? I feel like I royally fuck up this deck if my opponent doesn't auto-concide from no removal of my mech being powered up. But I feel that if I don't do it, then I just will get overwhelmed
fuck gold mage with this deck - is amazing DDD.
Not in this meta with all the Big Game Hunters running around. I feel either BGH or Dr. Boom will be nerfed soon, so after that Reaver should be viable.
use your combos, backstab plus your weapons, evis, sap etc.
Just completed naxx, are there any additions to the deck with naxx cards people have found to be successful? awesome deck though :)
I've been running a Junkbot in a version of this deck, and when it works it's awesome. If you can keep some mechs on the board to trade with once the junk goes down, you've got a huge tempo advantage that usually wins the game. However, if your cheap mechs got cleared, it's useless unless you happen to get a Reversing Switch (which is also hilarious). Deck list:
what rank did you get to?
Highest I've made it is 11, but I'm still tuning/crafting. Currently I've ditched Jeeves and Clockwork and am running 2x Preparation and Sprint, along with some other changes.
I switched out sap in favor of Gazlowe to synergize with the spare parts. It seems to help a lot with the late game card draw struggle. Not sure if sap was the right card to pull but we'll see how it goes.
I don't have Gazlowe to test with but I would probably replace Shiv before Sap. Good luck!
Thanks for sharing! I'm glad you enjoy the deck. It was difficult to hear you over the game sounds but you probably know that. Good luck on ladder this season!
At what rank? Keep in mind it's a new season!
Just defeated handlock with this :D D:
Very nice. It is a rare thing so enjoy it!
I don't have Dr. Boom so I can't say, but give it a try and let me know! As for card draw, I find it's okay. You just really have to control urges to play multiple cards per turn. Try to squeeze as much value you can out of your plays.
Thank you, I will certainly check out your changes.
I don't understand why you choose fan of knives. In my experience the 1 damage is not enough to significantly affect the other side's board. Do you use it more for the card draw?
^^this^^
except from oxywarden's version I keep the enhanco and use 2x Jeeves and 2x Mech Yetis in place of One oil and, assassins blade and the knives
I would rather run Annoy-o-Tron and Arcane Nullifier X-21 over Target Dummy. Iron Sensi and ANX21 is super strong.
