THAT'LL DO, PIG!
The one loss came to a Priest that on it's first 3 turns played Alex, Maly, Mind Blast, Holy Smite.
A lot of the decks I've seen so far in this brawl try to be very tricksy hobbitses. This deck is very straight forward by comparison.
Flood the board, buff the board. Abuse the hell out of Spirit of the Shark.
It may look like there may be too much removal with Kidnapper and Vilespine, but the deck basically doesn't run any spells. So you don't want to get run over by other tempo based decks with buffed minions. This became important at the end of my run as more people caught on to tempo decks being good.
Some notes:
- Get your minions out of range of Primordial Drake and Dragonmaw Scorcher. If it's priest, include Duskbreaker in your considerations.
- Frostwolf Warlord is a substitution you could use here.
- Faceless Manipulator is also something that works here. Copying Questings is fun. But I wanted more removal.
- Questing rarely grows huge. But it freaks people the fuck out, and they remove it inefficiently.
- Spirit of the Shark is why this deck wins. But don't keep it unless you have stuff to work with it. You're trying to win in the first few turns.
- Minions are better than spells because minions cost 1. Play a minion instead, if it has an effect similar to a spell.
- I prefer Vilespine/Kidnapper to symmetrical AOE dragons because my board is too important to blow up.
(Unfortunately, I put Ashmore in there instead of Graal by mistake. Graal makes much more sense with what this deck has going on.)
Here's a great showcase from kiwiinbacon
Played it several times - always was 6 to 8 wins.
5 and more wins opponents are usually more or less mirrors, and luck decides the winner.
weak deck... fews draw cards, there are others better list
nice deck but reallz after 12 hours outdated
Lack of card draw and aoe really hurts this deck compared to other rogue decks.
btw if u want to counter mirror matchup put 2 mc tech in the deck :)
this deck is literal trash compared to the other rogue deck not enough draw
I'm sorry you feel that way, generic username. Since mine was the first, other's have iterated on it, and improved it.
tried it and slightly modified it during 5 brawls. Got 6-3 / 7-3 / 7-3 / 9-3, and the last one was 12-2. Remove kidnapper, violet wurm and keleseth and go for primordial drake, novice engineer and faceless manipulator. It works better with some AOE and some more card draw. Also try to mulligan for spirit shark, bonemare, elven minstrel, novice engineer.
Easiest 8 wins of my life lol
fantastic deck, opp just concede on turn 2, easy lethal from 30 to 0 on turn 4. this deck is OP
Well... Ended up with 5 wins. In those 8 matches I only got the Spirit of the Shark only once.
Bad luck!
Mulligan for spirit shark, fungal or bonemare always! add some draw power in the deck
I did but still... It was still a pack and some free gold, no hard feelings on my part. Though I will probably not play the paid one.
This might have been good a few hours ago but the meta has evolved. Into better rogue decks
Such as??
Basically the same thing but fine tuned...or maybe teched against this deck. I went 7-3 and only lost to this deck but with some different pieces. So I guess that's what I mean. One played a clutch Faceless after I uberbuffed a minion and stole all my tempo. I saw some Cursed Castaways. They can get some clutch Vilespine or Kidnapper pulls. So next time I think I'll drop Onyxia and x2 Violet Wurm for x2 Faceless and a Cursed Castaway. Sonya seems a bit slow as well. A Cursed Castaway would be better.
Spellbreaker might be good in this too for obvious reasons. Deathspeaker could be very tempo swingy. Deathwing is also worth considering in case you really need to clear a huge board.
remove 2 kidnapper and add 1 fan of knives and 1 arena treasure chest, remove 1 violet wurm and add 1 faceless and u are good to go!.
Totally possible. Mine was the first, so people have iterated.
