Hello all!

So here is my silly divine shield paly deck. I had the privilege of Kiwiinbacon to try it on his twitch stream (https://www.twitch.tv/kiwiinbacon) and @ rank 5 he wants 6-2. With that, the community decided they wanted a guide, sooooo here it is!

Mulligan:

- Light's Sorrow is the card you would always want to keep as it gives you the most benefit.

- Other low cost cards like Righteous Protector and Argent Squire help keep rush decks under control.

- If it is a mid-range deck then holding on to Blood Knight makes for good lulz.

- Divine Favor is also worth hanging on to if you are playing against a heavy mid-range meta more often than not. Holding on to it does not really help much if they are just throwing out cards like a lonely grandma on Halloween.

"But tiki, Light's Sorrow and bolvar, fireblood are poop, can I replace them with "better" cards":

These cards traditionally do not see much play, and sure, there are other cards that may work. They have worked well with this deck as the combination of other cards (and the lack of weapon removal in the meta) make both these cards viable. If you want to swap them out, I would consider the following:

KingCarnage recommended a Crystology. This can help with card draw for sure.

You can also consider Leeroy Jenkins because at least he has chicken

I am also toying with the idea of adding Crystalsmith Kangor and Flash of Light to maintain health and add card draw while still persisting the divine shield mechanic

Here is the 1:1 replacement using the cards above:

Light's Sorrow - 1 | Equality +1 (original and current iteration)

Light's Sorrow - 1 | Crystology +1

Bolvar, Fireblood -1 | Leeroy Jenkins +1

OR

Bolvar, Fireblood -1 Light's Sorrow - 1 | Crystalsmith Kangor +1  Flash of Light +1

OR

Bolvar, Fireblood -1 Light's Sorrow - 2 | Crystalsmith Kangor +1  Flash of Light +1 Leeroy Jenkins +1

Other notes:

- The nice thing about divine shield is that Hex and Polymorph trigger Light's Sorrow so no need to worry about that, but silence is the lame thing this time.

- Unless you have an abundance of Silver Hand Recruit's on the board, most of your secrets are safe to play, with the ideal cards to play them with are your mechs (Zilliax and Annoy-o-Module).

- Unless you know your opponent has a silence, using Desperate Stand on things like Zilliax, Annoy-o-Module, and Bolvar, Fireblood seem to work out best. Also, if you do add Leeroy Jenkins, you have the ability to clear some pesky taunts by playing him and throwing on Desperate Stand to roll out 12 damage (in theory, I have not tried it yet but would love for you to let me know in the comments if it works for you!)

I will add more guides on here if everyone wants it :)

Kiwiinbacon created a fun video showcasing how this deck works and interacts with the current meta. Divine shield is just a fun mechanic and can really throw a wrench (no pun...intended?) into some matches!

I would highly recommend checking out his YT channel and his twitch stream as he tries out viewers decks and has fun doing it!
