Mulligan:
always keep: Wild Growth, Nourish
vs aggro: Lesser Jasper Spellstone, Swipe, Starfall or Spreading Plague (when you have ramp)
vs control: Juicy Psychmelon
when you have good mana curve: Branching Paths or Oaken Summons (when you have Wild Growth )
Cards That Might Be Included:
Innervate - Set up one turn kill after you will play Alexstrasza on your opponent [Malygos + 2x Moonfire + 3 dmg from upgraded Malfurions hero power] (you need to include Alex in your deck first)
Alexstrasza - set up your opponent health to 15 to kill them easier
Naturalize - deal with big minions
Wrath - get a card or kill any small minion (good against aggro)
Flobbidinous Floop - second cheaper Malygos
Twig of the World Tree - another way to set up a ton of dmg with Malygos
Prince Taldaram - get a copy of Malygos
Lich King - more value and protection
Sidenotes:
When you want to play any minion that costs 4 mana or less you should cut Oaken Summons!
When Malygos is not enough try to create big board and play Branching Paths to buff minion's attack
Combo:
Malygos + 2x Swipe + 2x Moonfire = 30 points of dmg
Proof:
could I add a lich king to draw an extra minion from juicy psychmelon by taking out a dreampetal florist or giggling inventor?
Played 4 games against Odd Rogue, Even Warlock, Odd Paladin and Lady in White Priest. Won them all, was a bunch of fun to play. I can see this struggling against control decks that gain a lot of armour/hp though.
The Malygos or second Florist sitting at the bottom of your deck, yeah. Absolutely necessary card that you will appreciate the more games you play.
We have more than enough card draw, this one is all about specifically drawing the core pieces of the deck.
Dude.... Please use your head before making such a piss poor evaluation. This is a maly deck for christs sake.... The card is almost a guaranteed staple for the deck.... Others will say it's mandatory.
I feel like that's the wrong reasoning because reducing your Malygos [/card]to 0 is the same thing as reducing your [card]malygos to 2. Your combo is 8 mana, and there's nothing to do with that leftover 2 mana.
I think it's more of a consistency thing to run two, but I would also think because he is running more minions than usual, you can accidentally whiff and reduce a non-Malygos minion.
The combo is 30 damage with a 2 mana Malygos. With a 0 mana Malygos you can also weave in another 3 damage through Malfurion the Pestilent's hero power.
3 extra damage often means winning or losing if the enemy realises what kind of deck you play. Talking about all the Warlocks and Rogues who could survive your OTK through Plated Beetle, or leftover armor from their Death Knights.
Do you look at deck lists and try to understand the mechanics behind it before making such a judgemental comment? That 2 extra mana allows you 1 more point of damage or if you have druid dk up you can do 3 damage.... In OTK decks litteraly every single point of damage counts.
if I want to add floop what should I replace Oaken Summons with ?
I cut 2 giggling inventor and 1 dreampetal florist and add 2 naturalize and 1 owl and almost all my struggle against handlock are gone, but against control warrior is a lose almost all the time.
I run owl coz the Oaken summon.
After running something similar, I cut the gigglers because it was hard to get them both out of my hand to ensure only malygos was discounted. Also a lot of people are starting to run mossy horror to counter them
Why no Floop and Alextrasza? I feel like against control this deck is really bad and cant win at all without these inclusions.
There are sort of two versions of the deck, one with Psychmelon/Florist and one with Floop/Alex. You don't want to mix Florist and Floop because if Floop gets the cost reduction instead of Malygos, you're in a bad spot because Floop will not keep the cost reduction when it morphs into Malygos. Running them both makes you have a chance of not being able to combo at all. Alex isn't in there so Psychmelon always pulls Malygos. This version of the deck lets you combo faster and a bit more reliably. The Floop/Twig/Alex version is often slower but it has alternate win conditions and more flexibility. The later has a slightly higher win rate but this one plays a bit different and can be fun. This version feels less heavy handed and lets you thin your deck more (psychmelon, oaken summoner).
I really like this deck. I have other 3 tier 1 decks and so far this is my best one. I am currently 7-1, should've been 8-0 but I lacked some skill. By the way, I haven't used the Juicy Psychmelon a single time in all my games so far. Do you think I should remove it from the deck? If so, what card should I use to replace it?
Alexstrazia juciy physchmelon is a horrible card if you know how to win with this deck without having the full combo.
This deck needs alot of improvement. For one how the hell is it going to stand against big minions on turn 3 with no neutralize? IT needs Alextrasza also if you want to actually have a chance against your oppenent if they have heal.
Why run two Dreampetal Florists?
The deck has a few enough minions to where if you run two, and you drop one, it either reduces your Malygos to 2, or it reduces your other Florist to 0, giving you another shot at lowering your Malygos. With two, you can also reduce your Maly to 0, making your wombo even better.
The issue is getting to that point. The deck has NO early game presence and if you don't get lucky on your Wild Growth you die before you even get a florist out.
Thanks bro!
Running into two issues with this deck.
1. Can't survive against aggro. Rogue, Paladin, Mage, Warlock ... all are able to tear through armor and defenses too quick.
2. Single Maly has a hard time putting down enough damage against other armor classes. The best case scenario is only 30 dmg, so having a hard time against other druids, warriors, and even Big Spell mages.
try other version, especially the one with Alexstrasza
