Introduction

Hi guys, I’m a legend player of Asian, EU, and NA servers. And this season, I keep my rank in top 50 (peak is 10) with this paladin deck.

If you ask me a paladin deck is good at rank, I’ll say no. It may be better to play warlock or hunter, if you want to go up fast. This deck is a result of effort of the user who loves paladin for adapting to the meta. And I hope this deck is helpful to you enjoy the game.

This deck is fixed consistently to adapt to the meta. It can match up to hunter deck – the best in rank game – and shows a good win rate on other control decks. But it shows a weak state against Zoolock, this is a limit of paladin cause of poor field control in early game.

Consisting deck for win the aggro decks can get very high rate of win against the aggro decks, but lose the power against the control decks. I concluded this deck balance is good for all other decks.

The point of this deck is using denial cards to maximize specific field control of paladin. This deck is consisted of neutral cards as ‘Big Game Hunter’, ‘Mind Control Tech’, ‘Stampeding Kodo’, ‘Harrison Jones’, ‘The Black Knight’ and core class cards. And use the strategy to win for using cards good at holding field like ‘Loatheb’, ‘Sylvanas Windrunner’, and ‘Kel'Thuzad'.

Variation tip : You can replace Big Game Hunter to Earthen Ring Farseer. If you want to increase resistance against aggro deck.

Why 2 ‘Guardian of Kings’ ?

 

Most popular cards of current meta are ‘Loatheb’ and ‘Sludge Belcher’. These cards can be dominated by ‘Guardian of Kings’

 

2. When play a game with Hunter, can prevent Freezing Trap after 7th turn – Hunter has few cards in hand – and dominate Savannah Highmane easily. Restore 6 health comes as a huge burden to Hunter.

 

3. Against Mage and Druid, can make confusion when they calculate the kill point and it is hard to dominate the Guardian of Kings to them.

 

Disadvantages

Can be overhealed against Warrior and Priest – If have enough health and the Guardian of Kings is remaining in your deck, try to think about using Lay on Hands on a minion.

Mind Control Tech

Mind Control Tech is used because of poor field control in early game, and it shows the best efficiency against all other classes. Especially you can control game easily if you take this card at mulligan against aggro decks and Shaman, etc.

 

Mulligan Strategy

Basic - Truesilver Champion, Acolyte of Pain

Go second - Wild Pyromancer

Weapon Class – Harrison Jones

Aggro deck, Shaman – Mind Control Tech

Shaman

Don’t need to get ‘all cards’ of Equality, Consecration, Wild Pyromancer in your hand. Just get two of them for field control.

 Mage

Basic card + Loatheb

 Druid

Aldor Peacekeeper can be a good choice for control high cost minions with Innervate.

 Paladin

Sen'jin Shieldmasta which has health 5 appear immediately at 4th turn cannot easily be dominated before 5th turn - just not aggro deck!

 Warlock

Keep your mind on zoo decks when you do mulligan. Find all cards can control field including Consecration. Handlocks is a piece of cake. Don’t be afraid against Handlocks.

 Hunter

Choose Consecration. But, do not choose Harrison Jones when you go first. The circulation of the cards can be bad and easily mess your hand up.

 Warrior

Sen'jin Shieldmasta and Truesilver Champion can help to handle Acolyte of Pain or Armorsmith.

 Priest

If you’re sure of enemy as a control priest, consider to pick Big Game Hunter. In current meta, it’s unusual for priest to use minions more than attack point 8 and also never get it when they use Thoughtsteal. Can deal huge amount of health if priest don’t have a handling way.

 

Tirion Fordring is cannot easily use cause of Mind Control. So if you get this card at mulligan, it’s good way to keep it in hand. Using it immediately at 8th turn can derive benefit as a good trading.

 Rogue

Rogue – Loatheb!
