This Hunter deck uses Witchwood Piper to track down Vicious Scalehides in order to land Dire Frenzy on them. This gives your deck a ton of life gain going late where you eventually try to win with Deathstalker Rexxar. The early game is spent setting up defensive secrets in order to take control of the board with Lesser Emerald Spellstone. Houndmaster Shaw is a monster and the deck makes sure it has something to rush on turn-5. Our weapon tech Harrison Jones and even Corrosive Sludge get much better when they can rush into battle. The term tempo Big Game Hunter hasn't been used that often lately but at least with rush he gets more beasts in his sight. Countess Ashmore becomes a huge life gain card late game because you are likely to pull a couple 4/6 rush lifesteals along with Rotten Applebaum.

Journey into Wild Surviving Standard Highlights
Have beem playing a similar deck since the witchwood release and is my favorite deck.
The potential is there, it just relys so heavily on drawing dore frenzy. :-/
kiwiinbacon and TommyWave haven't posted their video of this deck yet?! what is this!? hahaha
awesome and fun deck btw ^^
Very cool conceptually! Please accept my up vote.
People are really sleeping on this deck, all the lifesteal and value this deck provides really brings hunter out of the woodwork. (pun intended)
Thanks a bunch for this decklist, it's been working really well for me. I've made a few changes but the core is still solid.
-2 Tracking
-1 Eaglehorn Bow
-1 Big Game Hunter
-1 Corrosive Sludge
+1 Candleshot
+2 Hunter's Mark
+2 Vilebrood Skitterer
I found these changes helped with more hard removal, and synergy with Countess Ashmore. I think one weapon removal is enough in most cases. The only thing this deck is missing is a silence, but you can't have everything in a deck ya know? :) Thanks again for the deck.
I think the goal is to get vicious scalehide with witchwood piper when needed. That is why the deck is running 5 mana weapon removal.
Did you even read what he said bro
