Elemental deck I used to rank from 13-2. Great against paladins, sucks against druids. The general idea is to stall with heals and taunts until the aggro opponent concedes, or until Hagatha the Witch and Shudderwock give you endless value.
Mulligan guide
There is only 1 card I always keep: Fire Fly. If you have it in your opening hand, also keep Earthen Might
Aggro:
Then, against aggro I like to keep Glacial Shard , Tar Creeper and/or Hot Spring Guardian. It's essential to have some sort of early game. Also, keep Fire Plume Harbinger if you good elementals to follow it up with.
I don't like keeping Lightning Storm if I don't have any early game, because the overload prevents you from developing after a Call to Arms. You can keep it against mage when you have the Coin, because you don't want storm to get Counterspell.
Control:
Against control (especially warlock), I keep Hex, and if you don't have it I keep Mana Tide Totem. If you have a good opening hand, it's safe to keep Hagatha the Witch and Kalimos, Primal Lord
Edit: - Blazing Invocation, + Tar Creeper
hi guys, i made this deck, help with some thoughts?
https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1130903-elemental-ft-shudderwock
this deck is fun indeed, but its missing something
I was looking for good deck with hagatha and shudder and finally found a good one. Ive made a few changes. Since I dont have Kalimos Ive put blaze caller its rly nice, also cut one fire elemental for grumble. It can rly help when U run 2x fire plum harbringers.
Im also wondering about raplacing tolvir or mana tide for saronite
Thanks Zemadar. Personally I wouldn't recommend replacing the mana tide, as it is your only card draw available in the deck. So if I had to chose, I'd rather replace Tol'vir.
Fun deck for sure. I did -1 tar creeper and -1 Fire Elemental +2 Blazecaller because it's simply a staple to any elemental deck.
Hello, I like the idea of combining elementals with Shudderwock.Personally I am missing Baron Geddon, so any suggestions for replacement? Thanks in advance
Murmuring Elementalfor combo with Kalimos or Shudderwock?
@ Astrantia: Baron Geddon is quite nice against paladins, but if you don't have it I would just play another Tar Creeper
@ Robaczysko: Personally im not a fan of murmuring because it is very weak if you don't have anything to combo it with. If you are facing aggro for example it is pretty much a dead card. But.... if you have good results, feel free to prove me wrong ;-)
Cheers, Shekel
I voted this deck up. I like the combos you can create. For me I enjoy decks that can have a big pay off and this one definitely does that. Having said that I'll never get over the disappointment when I see a paladin as my opponent. Especially when I don't draw cards to clear the board.
Looks fun, definitely going to try it out. I was thinking of putting grumble in, is that a good idea? Maybe in place of baron or one of the fire elementals?
Personally I don't have Grumble yet, but I don't consider it necessary because i'm not playing the lifedrinker package. And usually, running out of cards isn't any of my problems.
But, feel free to try it, and then I would recommend to remove the Fire Elemental, because Baron is just so damn good against paladins.
i put grumble instead of shudderwock still makes nice combos and doesn't fall that hard into late game imo
Thanks a lot, I'm glad you like it as well ;-)
