Zalae's video:
I believe you know what is needed for a Spiteful Druid deck and there is Zalae's video. But if you have any questions, feel free to write a comment!
edit: Once you reached Legend, please switch your deck for a less cancerous one.
I don't think the point is to obliterate a meta out of submission. It's nice that a deck holds up well despite the nerfs. The point of the nerfs is to slow down the dominate decks and possibly bring their win rate down.
Grand Archivist and Malfurion the Pestilent can easily be swapped out for a Gluttonous Ooze and Hadronox, they work perfectly well in my deck :) In fact, I seem to get better results, and the ooze counters the turn 8 pally weapon well!
Hadronox is way too slow (unlike Grand Archivist and Malfurion the Pestilent) for a deck like this. Also, the taunt minions in the list aren't that great to be resummoned.
Grand Archivist isn't that good but it helps a lot if you can't find your UI. If you miss those two cards i would suggest you putting another Cobalt Scalebane and/or Bittertide Hydra.
Edit: Grammar mistakes
First time I tried this deck, drew both UIs by turn 3. Makes for a tough go.
Mr Lucky.
been playing this deck for more than two weeks now. Not sure if it still works.. apart from the insta-lose to paladin i sometimes have a 10-1 spree up to rank 3, but then immediately back to 5. However I dont know what to chage/ replace, been playing a bunch of different versions too but this one seems to be the most stable...
another question: any hint against big mage? deck seems to be favored but still never manages to break them
Dont Play bittertide hydra pls.
so selfkill vs all the palas out there
Can someone tell me how Grand Archivist is useful here? I've played this deck a short while and just see that the value you get from the Spiteful Summoners is worth so much more, especially since you don't get the chance of a -5 hit to yourself or one of your minions.
Doh - nicely summed up by AkiraTerion below.
When you run out of cards and one (or two) Spitefuls are in the bottom of your deck, it's not a bad thing to play a free UI. Also, if you still have another UI in your deck to uttilize Spiteful. There have been times where I hit myself with 5 dmg, but when RNG is your favor it is sooo satisfying.
I've tried it with and without, specifically with The Lich King as you were looking at. I had the same thinking; good resource generation, no UI to bad targets, no overdraw, etc. And it *can* work, but that basically requires that you draw into that UI and you use it at the right time. Having it pop off of Archivist is a tempo play, generally. You're getting your UI benefits, and at worst you either negate the armour gain (hit self in face) or give yourself a 4/2 instead of a 4/7. (In a vacuum, obviously. If you have other stuff on board, that CAN be a problem. But usually in situations where you want to use Grand Archivist, you're behind.)
Running GA is like having a 3rd copy of UI, and one that can potentially save you at the right times. I found my win rate dropped with Arthas doing the Kobold's work. I sent him back to Icecrown and reverted the change. That's just my experience around R5-3.
I'm not a fan of Grand Archivist it counters the spiteful effect and is most of the time just a 5/8 for 8 with only 2 spells in your entire deck.
Any tips against control and cube warlock? They're the only ones that wreck me.
Prayer.
In all seriousness, save your Spellbreakers for just the right time. And that is, in my experience, when you need to punch through a Voidlord. Not just because a VL hit the table and you fear its Deathrattle. But when you need to go through it, or remove it and you don't want those Voidwalkers to spawn.
Alternatively, if you do like the prayer option, Leeroy Jenkins into a Mind Control Tech can be board flipping and devastating. (Assuming Voidlord or other high value minion + 1 other for your opponent) If your back is against the wall anyway, it's a high risk play that can be hugely rewarding. On the other hand, you might just get a 1/1 whelp for your trouble and you end up hearing Leeroy talk about chicken as he dies to the Voidlord anyway.
ik i probably shouldn't be playing this deck if i don't have any of the legendary's but do you guys got any replacements or no?
Without Keleseth it changes a lot of cards. hard to replace him
Ee.. Well, Reckless Rocketeer is the classic substitute for Leeroy Jenkins. However, Malfurion the Pestilent is too hard to replace in terms of effect. A credible 7 or 8-drop defensive card *might* work. Primordial Drake gets you a baby board-clear and a high value taunt. That's close-ish. And again, Prince Keleseth is extremely unique and hard to change out. Whatever utility 2-drop you like would be fine at that point, and there are plenty to choose from.
Any recommended replacements for leeroy?
Same problem. :/
Poor Man's Lerpy-- EZ Reckless Rocketeer
Thijs runs a version without Leeroy Jenkins, check it out! Source: Twitter
Maybe try Bittertide Hydra, but I have no experience with the card in this deck.
The only loss is that MC Tech synergy. But if you needed that, you were already in trouble.
