2 deckbuilding challenge cards in one deck, could it possibly work?
EDIT: Thanks for all the discussion in the comments. I see a few of you think i should put spellstone in. I originally had it in the list but the deck ended up being 31 cards and it was the one to go. Theres only 2 cards to proc it and at 3 its a bit too bad. i like the idea of exploring more of a handlock package though.
Made some changes i think are good, feedback would be appreciated:
-N'zoth the Corruptor +Molten Giant
I felt like the N'zoth package was too forced and a bit weak. This takes more advantage of the 1 mana heropower and more naturally fits in the deck. The Bloodbloom Doom combo also allows the deck to win games out of nowhere and have a chace vs giants.
EDIT2: Just realised the synergy between Glinda Crowskin molten giants. It also makes for a cool combo where along with emperor you can play 5 giants a 3 7 and reno yourself to full hp. This combo seems very strong as it is a 2-4 card package rather than 10 cards in a deck. This idea needs further experimentation, for now ill leave the list unchanged.
4-0 so far
Can't find the memo either.
Can someone kindly enlighten me (or give me a link)? ;-)
Molten Giant is going to be put in the hall of fame, meaning you wil only be able to play it in wild. Blizzard officials explained that as developers did that, they remembered the past nerf to Molten Giant from 20 to 25 mana cost that was made for balancing reasons in standard, and thus had no more reason to be since it was being put into (the) Wild and reversing it would also revive old combos possible, and mainly an iconic past archetype, namely Handlock.
However, I really don't think Handlock can be competitive now in a similar build as in the past, especially when Giantlock is already the Top Tier 1 deck in wild. Imho, the only thing it will do is make Giantlock even more OP.
Weakening an entire deck that was already weak compared to Cubelock to reduce the HP mana cost to 1? Sorry but it's just a bad idea.
it has a lot more flexibility and cycle. Plus reno is no joke
I play only Wild and right now Reno is almost not played. Cubelock is far better.
I've been playing both RenoLock and Cubelock in wild and so far, Renolock is far better imo because the moment you slam down Krul, you have so much value. That's what I've been noticing
We aren't allowed to have an opposite opinion on a deck and voice it or we get downvotes? Not a fantastic mindset.
well i guess you were wrong..
Not really, just asked my friends, they all play wild, none of them faced this deck or renolock since release.
just because something is not as popular as aggro paladin doesn't mean it doesn't work. i'm at 14-4 at rank 10-8.. not the highest ranks..i know but it still does pretty good
Never said the deck wasn't going to win, I said there are better decks.
Nice, i was wondering if someone was going to try the deck. Its nice to hear its performin well. The Glinda Giants package might make the deck a lot better. Filling in te holes in the control matchups that are usually bad.
That is the only deck i play right now hh..so much fun. Especially when people see it's a genn deck, they immediatly greet you thinking it's a meme deck. i'm at 27-10 on my deck tracker and 6-1 while playing on my phone. love the deck
Have to mention that i haven't played against a single control deck XD
Though i made a few changes
- DOOM! + Curse of Weakness (because my hand is always full and i've never played doom.
- [card]Bloodreaver Gul'dan[/card] + Hooked Reaver in the first 20 matches never played guldan
-[card]Vulgar Homunculus[/card] + Gnomeferatu - i just don't like homunculus
Like... I dont see any good demon for DK...then why would you run DK...his hero power isnt enough itself xD
That's honestly super true. Homunculus, some imps, and the Rin trash tokens aren't really worth 10 mana.
you probably wont need draw after turn 10 so the heropower upgrade is good on its own. And with as much draw as this deck has youll probably have Rin done earlier than usual. And in that case guldan brings back a 10 10, 6 6 , 5 5... I know it looks really really bad but it really isnt
