Agreed that you're essentially already having all 4 horsemen solely with the weapon (in the sense that you've already won), but you also have to bear in mind the tools and even combo potentials that Paladins have. Insanely good legendaries with Taunt, two of which have Divine Shield, and one of which reinforces your horsemens stats. Plus, you don't even have to have your horsemen as your primary objective. 2/2s are already an marginal upgrade to 1/1s, in the sense that they are much harder to deal with due to that one extra point of health. You can also think of it as an extra task your opponent has to juggle. Trying not to die to Pally's outstanding late-game power while keeping your horsemen in check is not necessarily the easiest of tasks. Even if you don't win with your hero power, you still win with your hero power if you know what I'm saying.
Yeah it adds another thing your opponent has to worry about. Plus 2/2s are better than 1/1s.
Think of shaman totems, how often do you see all four of them on the board at the same time? I just can't see it ever happening unless your opponent has already lost and can't keep control of the board.
Even if you can't fulfill the "Insta-win" condition of the hero Power, fact is that you're still summoning 2/2's instead of 1/1's which is still a huge improvement. And not just any 2/2's, 2/2's that your opponent can't afford to ignore.
ya sounds op to me
The french ad that leaked the mana cost (and a bit of his shoulder art) were real.
So, im really sure the warlock DK is 10 mana.
Paladin DK is amazing really, might actually craft if they ruin the warlock dk.
I know they added defile and stuff which is great but the legendaries they made last expansion and so far this one for him is trash.
I dont like discardlock, i have basically the full recipe for it and its trash.
Doesnt stand a chance in ranked really.
How much is the weapon worth? I'd say at least 6 mana probably 7 compared to arcanite reaper and gore howl actually does a lot more damage over time starting at 7 and giveing u a lot of small hits. Gore howl doesn't heal u for 15 over 3 turns true but keep in mind Gore Howl almost sees on competitive play right now. This is almost a 9 cost weapon effectively. The hero power upgrade is probably worse than justicar upgrade since 2 1/1's is probably more valuable to a paladin than 1 2/2. So worth 2 mana or so for the hero power upgrade. 6-7 + 2 is 8-9 I'd say this card is slightly bad.
Tyrion is just so much better for the 6/6 divine shield body and it costs 1 less.
I see a lot of noobs getting excited over that gigantic life sucking weapon (takes 3 truns and does get wreked by weapon destruction) But keep in mind that you have to pay almost the entirety of the 9 mana for the weapon as the hero power upgrade is one of the weakest of the deathknights. Only thrall and maybe rexar has worse hero powers but thrall costs only 5 (and even then I think deathseer thrall is bad) and hunter costs only 6.
Thoughtsteal, Curious Glimmerroot, Mind Vision, Crystalline Oracle, Devour Mind, and then.... Auctionmaster Beardo, Radiant Elemental
I don't get it.
Hero power is improvement even if you don't win with it... summoning 2/2 instead of 1/1...
Well in wild it is easily exodia. Ideally on Turn 9:
hand:
Emperor Thaurissan
Uther of the Ebon Blade
Auctionmaster Beardo
1 cost spells x2 (like secrets or adaptation or something)
The Coin x1
Turn 7:
Drop Emperor for a tick
Turn 8:
Play Death knight and heal hopefully for 10 (less if there are taunts)
Turn 9:
hero Power Auction Master, spell, hero power, spell, hero power, coin, hero power and you win Exodia style!
5 card combo if you managed to save the coin 6 card combo otherwise.
Other good includes is Gadgetzan Auctioneer (as you are running tons of cheap spells probably), Hydrologist, Lay on Hands and maybe something to feasibly survive in early game...
This is my idea for the control/OTK paladin deck by using Pandas and Prince Taldaram. It's easier to pull it off than by using Auctionmaster Beardo and you don't need to worry about Skulking Geist (destroy 1-cost spell) anymore.

problem is they might be like totems, and you don't want to get duplicates...
Hey wait! Hes hero power text include ''destroy'' is it kinda execution (like a rogue assasinate effect? I mean can this horsmans penetre immunity???
Great. Now do that with priest and Archbishop Benedictus to copy your opponent's entire deck... Alas, I don't think there are enough 1-cost spells for priest.

Sure it would be insane if it were 5 mana or really good if it were 7 but no it's 9.
