it doesn't matter how big this thing gets, because just by having it in your hand you can effectively remove the downside of discarding cards as a cost. It is very good.
I was hoping the game would have less "unfun-rng" (see: boom-bot, spirit claws, flame juggler, silverware golem) in this expansion, but this card is a prime example of the worst kind of luckstone. I still have very high hopes for this set and the game in general, but this card is not a fun card.
also: deathwing lock with this and silverware golem will be pretty funny :)

It's a shame he is in wild. Big Game Hunter will have to do.
Crazy good, not only because you can reach insane levels of value, but also now when you discard something you don't lose a card. Like imagine if Fist of Jaraxxus returned to your hand, suddenly it wouldn't be so bad, and this is way better than only dealing four damage
If fist returned to your hand, it would be op as you could infinitelt discard it for more damage.
however, one way to make fist vaguely reasonable. Maybe if you got to choose where it lands?

This card is crazy, it looks like a bit worse VanCleef for zoo-discolock but c'mon discard-based cleef in zoolock is OP as hell

Doubt it, I think it can go to 6/6, 8/8 or more, although I don't think it will happen too often.
And if you think that's OP, remember Jade Idol. 1 mana 10/10 every turn and FAR more reliably.

Excellent design. These type of cards are exactly what make decks with character happen, which are infinitely more interesting than generic aggro/midrange/control. But obviously to all rank 25 deck builders out there, printing any actual synergy cards is "forcing a deck archetype".
