welp... this is definetly one of those fun cards. I mean once your opponnent finally summons the old god through the blood then your opponnent can kill himself with it.
Here are the specifics on this card as so far written on hearth wiki:
The details of this minion's ongoing effect have not yet been revealed.
- It may affect only attacks (vaguely similar to Mogor the Ogre), or it may affect some or all other player-controlled targeted effects, including spells, attacks and minion effects.
- It may or may not respect targeting requirements (such as Shadow Word: Death or Execute), although it will likely still require a valid target for such effects to be activated.
A lot of people are hating this card already strangely enough, this card though seems quite solid as noted by some of the previous commenters on how it can destroy freeze mage's burst, this card, if it works as we are guessing with all effects, can have insane potential, is a huge counter to combo decks and is countered solely by AOE, and even then some of it is still targeted AOE so this card seems very good to me, as for the complaint about its cost, it's because unlike mogor who is technically stat efficient for his cost, this one can scramble spells badly, and if you just to say curve it out and have nothing else the enemy might just end up hitting his face with minions, shooting himself with a spell or removing his own minion, not to mention that this card has friendly fire added unlike the ogre. Overall i see this as a solid and chaotic card, i think we'll see a lot of potential and fails off of it. Can't wait to see both.
This card could work late game in mill decks, where you don't need to attack or target your opponent with spells
does attacking also counts as targeting?
So it does nothing right? ;-)
Battlecry: Give Trolden more content.
Kinda get the feeling they made him nine mana to ensure that noone plays him in ranked or tournaments.
I agree which is also terrible design philosophy
OTK spell rogue:
1. Turn 8 or 9: play Mayor Noggenfogger, Coin / Preparation and Conceal him!
2. Turn 9 or 10: play Yogg-Saron, Hope's End
Now rogue can have up to... 20 (TWENTY) Yogg-Saron, Hope's End. Breakdown: play Yogg-Saron, Hope's End, then use Thistle Tea twice to get 6 x Gang Up and get 18 x more Yogg-Sarons. Total: 19 Yogg-Sarons + 1 x Mayor Noggenfogger.
If random means your own minions can attack other friendly minions and spells otherwise can't target friendly minions can do it.... ist this card nice....if thats true, I think this is the Yogg Saron of this expansion.
"Take yer best shot Malygos"
Im kinda i love with this card.. just think of all the memes
I can see this being mildly useful against a spell heavy deck and you're running mostly critters and AoE (or already randomized spells), but it's still really really slow for what it is. Otherwise it's good for either dust or the trolly lulz.
I did not watch the stream, but does it work like Mogor (With % difference being proportionally scaled instead of flat 50.) where attack still target enemy only ,or will it work like Misdirection where the minion's attack goes anywhere? I actually think this card have some potential since the enemy can not just flat out remove it with target spells and minions' attack have the chance of backfiring(Or just hitting the wrong target however it work).
Even Mogor was used in a few tournament/competitive handlock deck before, this actually despite being undervalued have potential as it is harder to remove with spells and can counter certain archetype. Even if not competitively viable, it will still be load of fun and lose/win you some games.
There should be an vote option of "It's one of the worst cards ever, but i won't dust it for the memes"
Come on, man. This is the first option, it has text "Meta-defining"!
"meme potential"
9 mana but why ?
To make sure people don't use it competitively. I think after the Yogg fiasco Bliz is done with that.
9 mana 5/4
this is a joke right
