Card Clarifications
- Chris Metzen came up with the name/flavor for this card. One of the last things we collaborated on before he retired. We miss you, Metzen! (Source)

Battlecries will not trigger. This card "counters" powerful battlecries at the cost of giving your opponent a free minion.
Actually the card pulling a minion from your opponent's hand is less of a downside when you consider cards like Grimestreet Outfitter. You can pull out a Dopplegangster or something that is "undercooked".
I still think it is worse than Deathlord but I must say as a Wild Priest player I like the idea of t2 Dirty Rat t3 Velen's Chosen.
new taunt viable for mill rogue maybe? hasn't been the same without Deathlord
Correct be if i'm wrong, but since this "summons" instead of "plays", doesn't this mean it will not deny combos, and the actual card will still be in their hand?
If the card stayed in their hand, it would say , summon a copy of
Such a new card idea!
Wait a second... didn't we got Deathlord from Naxxramas... oh i understood! They just reprint Naxxramas as the done with Dark Cultist already. Good job Blizzard, we need more "fresh" ideas!
Turn 1: Mistress of Mixtures
Turn 2: Dirty Rat, opponent summons Flame Imp
Turn 3: Power Word: Shield + Divine Spirit, Trade Mistress of Mixtures with Flame Imp
Turn 4: Divine Spirit + Inner Fire = 32/32 Lethal
warlock turns:
Turn 1: Flame Imp + Coin + Voidwalker
Turn 2: Dirty Rat summons Doomguard - "WELL PLAYED" - Dire Wolf Alpha, board cleared.
...
And you are REKT!
Turn 3: Mind Control Tech takes control on Doomguard. Doomguard kills Voidwalker, remains with 4 HP.
Turn 4: Power Word: Shield, Power Word: Shield, Divine Spirit, 16 life Doomguard.
Turn 5: Divine Spirit + Inner Fire = 32/32 Lethal.
Just delayed by 1 turn, not a big deal... and the Warlock is REKT again.
You are a dreamer. Pray more, only way you win the game.
I like how that turned into a hearthstone battle.
BrokeBack priest players
Think of the new meta with all the buffs and stuff. It will be nice to drop minions that have precious battlecry like Dopplegangster (we may see other examples) or minions that buff on battlecry. They may get a 2-2, 3-3 minion but will lose value for sure.
Cabal Shadow Priest :/
This costs 2 mana cabal costs 6 and if ur playing this against priest ur screwed anyway
I don't like the comparisons to Deathlord because this card is so much better than Deathlord with how it can be used. Combo it with removal late game and this card is insane because it fucks up your opponent's plans. The only way using it along side removal could backfire is if Sylvanas gets played. Otherwise this card will be the plague of C'thun and N'Zoth decks.
Turn 8: Play this and then Entomb = gg
Turn 7: Play this and then Brawl
Against aggro play this and draw out a 1 mana or 2 mana card = value
Good on lots of different occasions in many different ways. I'm excited.
I hate cards like this, stop fucking over combo decks mane. this is just another card that dumbs the game down even further, when you cannot even plan anything anymore because of random effects not only on your board but also in your hand now... i am super disapointed in this design, atleast with deathlord it could be silenced or you could kill it on some sort of statigic timing this is just bad, bad for any thinking player who plays decks requiring any sort of thouth
nah mane play on turn 2 or any other turn after that when you got some removal
