Now we need to know how to case a spell
Even Bloodmage Thalnos starts to fear for his position.
cthun tempo mage ?? am in baby
The likelihood of anyone playing this early and expecting to get a spell off before it dies is living in a fantasy world. The better time to play it is when you can play a spell or two and establish board control (i.e. Frost Nova, Blizzard, or Flamestrike). Once the enemy board is clear or incapable of attacking, they will waste removal to make sure you never get use it again. If you do manage to keep it on the board, it does a lot of work. I have this in a Yogg/C'Thun fusion deck and it seems to have a nice place.
I guess it's power creep, but any 2-drop with spell damage is universally worse than basically anything else you can put in the 2-mana slot.
It wins on flexibility. It is a reasonable 2-drop just for the body. And if drawn late the spell damage and C'thun buff makes it not useless.
Lotsa spell synergy coming for mages...Interesting!!
3/2 body, then Spell damage on top, THEN C'thun interaction? It would be incredibly playable even without the last part.
Poor Kobold Geomancer. It's a class card, but still...
"After you case a spell"
God dammit Blizzard, I thought Anomalus was bad enough.
