this is my brother xaril. and my other brother xaril.
What if it said:
Battlecry and Deathrattle: Discover a random Toxin card. That would be pretty sweet. But even more sweet would be if they moved 2 of the Toxins as well (in my opinion Bloodthistle and Fadeleaf are the worst) along with my previous change (with the word "Random" removed obviously)
Discover as a Deathrattle would be a problem since Deathrattle can happen in your opponent's turn, giving you an opportunity to waste their time with the Discover effect.
If it were killed on your opponents turn, then when they finish their turn and your turn begins is when you'll be prompted to Discover a Toxin. That is kind of clunky, but it does work.
Maybe just Battlecry: Discover 2 random toxin cards?
DO NOT COMPARE THESE TOXINS WITH SPARE PARTS.
Yes, Fadeleaf Toxin is equal to Finicky Cloakfield, but giving a minion stealth for one turn can make the huge difference between Gadgetzan Auctioneer or Malygos surviving for one really important turn. Finicky Cloakfield is by far the best spare part, that was and still is extremely good with Archmage Antonidas in mage decks enabling sometimes to turn around a whole game. Imagine to do the same thing with Malygos in turn 10, who could also functions well with Firebloom Toxin in that turn.
Bloodthistle Toxin, which is unfortunately a 1 mana Shadowstep, is probably the worst of all these toxins, but in combination with for example Leeroy Jenkins, who also combos with Briarthorn Toxin, it can become the deadly (miracle) rouge finisher. Time Rewinder could not pull off a double Leeroy combo.
Spare parts have far less an impact on the game than these toxins and, as I said in another similar comment 3 or 4 pages back, everybody who compares this legendary with Toshley did not really think it through… This card is far more similar to a 4 mana delayed Arcane Intellect that has a 3/2 body as bonus, because of these toxin cards. It is not the same but quite similar, when it comes to value.
Again, a decent card with Unearthed Raptor, and also on it's own ofc.
Also I freaking love the art!
Interesting card. But really need for standerd rogue is new heal minion.
i disanchanted my Toshley to craft tirion and if i needed some dust i will focuse on that card
Combo enabler, curve filler, just a great card. Too bad you can't realy rely on getting specific toxin tho, but as long as you can make use of most of them its allright. Yeah and cool Unearthed Raptor synergy. And Brann Bronzebeard synergy. And just wait till i get 10 mana to play all of those in single turn :)
Unstable Portal
There are two kind of players: who think it's a great card and who think it's a shitty card.
Imho, the latter understand very little about this game.
Ok Mr. Legend several times and avg. 6 arena wins, let me introduce a very important factor of this game: Card Advantage.
This card is great by itself, standalone, because it provides 3 cards for 4 mana. That's why.
After this, we can also consider synergy with combos and cards usually played by rogue. Toxins are better than spare parts, no way to compare, even shadowstep that can be used in combo with battlecries, charge, etc.
The fact is that this card gives you concrete card advantage, and since it is a rogue legendary, it gains more value because of synergies.
People comparing it to Toshley NotLikeThis.
Thanks for another useless legendary.
Useless? ROFL
