I'm really not to happy bout overload in general but this card might change the way i see the mechanic. It should have been this way from the start: low cost, great value with high overload.
That's some crazy overload right there.
The high overload compensates for the fact you can still use 7 mana after it. So you can basically Flamestrike and summon Boom in one turn.
It's the way I see overload: Lowered mana cost so that it can either be placed earlier then normal or be played alongside other cards.
What if the opponent also has an egg? conceade

Yeah i think that it would be really good only in that deck, the drawback is (not the overload, the fact that it does damage on ALL minions) hurts too much for other shaman decks that rely on their board, it will be for sure a good aoe if really behind tho

It's good for stabilization but then again, on T4, you want to prep sprint… But then again, I have seen way too many rogues hit a creature head on and I don't like doing that...
Mh I think i'd prefer it as a 5 mana deal 4-5 damage to all ENEMY minions Overload: (3), this way you lose the value from lava shock but it's still better since for early game you already have lighting storm and shaman even in control is really based on having a good board, a thing that kills it it's not good, most of the time just a comeback card since you aren't the type of hero with hard removal and control cards that doesn't need a board and it has it empty a lot of turns (like control warrior) . You can run a copy maybe

8 Mana for a better flamestrike that you can play even earlier because of the overload mechanic on a class that has already crazy good cards such as Fire Elemental, no thanks.

It would have to be turn 7 at least. EDIT: woops too early in the morning to be commenting. You're right for some reason I thought it was 5 crystals.
Actually no. The card costs 3 so you can play it and lava shock by turn 5 and have no overload on the next turn.
I don't mind the symmetry. I don't mind the overload. I don't mind the mana cost. I just wish they went with one different word:
instead of minions, make it characters.
you people seem to be forgetting, this has the potential to 1 more damage BASELINE to all minions, flamestrike is 4 flat damage without buffs, so it is already a better flamestrike, and can be cast at almost any point in the match when it is needed, unlike flamestrike which requires turn 7 (6 with the coin if you have managed to hold onto it until then which is unlikely if you need flamestrike at that point).
Loatheb can't sotp this! I mean, if played in late-game turns...
It's really not that steep, especially if you have a Lava Shock to combo it. Hellfire is -3 to the entire board for 4. This is -4 to -5 for 3 +5 OL that you can remove. It's pretty insane.
why is an 8 mana removal affect your minions as well ?!
