Theorycraft Spotlight: Midrange Dragon Rogue
Allstar997 has theorycrafted a Dragon Midrange Rogue deck and it looks interesting!
Quote from allstar997The idea here is to consistently enable the two Blackwing cards. While this is obviously not anything groundbreaking, I've noticed that a lot of other theorycraft decks use a miniature dragon package that only includes 1 Blackwing Corruptor and sometimes doesn't even play Blackwing Technician. I feel that both of these cards are so strong that its worth committing to them fully. Plus, rogue already wants to play Azure Drake for the draw/spell damage and the hero power lends itself nicely to dealing with the drawback of Hungry Dragon.
The deck is not currently playable due to the fact that Chromaggus, Blackwing Corruptor, Hungry Dragon, and Volcanic Drake are not yet available for another couple of weeks, but we'll soon be able to check it out.
Check out the deck below and read up the full write-up over on the deck guide. Don't forget to leave your thoughts on the deck in the comments!

cool
Face hunter is the best deck
HOW DO YOU STOP GRIM PATRON?!
Haha, seriously, that card is awesome!
Tempo Mage and Zoo are all over the ladder... Tempo Mage feels so OP when you can't deal with their Mirror Entity...
That's why I'm running it. ;D
Wow, Blizzard really does anything to make priest viable again; since now anyone runs them /sarcasm
Looks like priests are finally getting some interest! /sarcasm ;P
I personally think this deck lacks healing.
Unfortunately every second player being a rush hunter means you need more then taunts and removal to live through them.
I would swap perhaps Volcanic drake, for an antique heal bot just so once you get to the point of a firm board you are not already dead.
Or given the HUGE number of 5 drops perhaps consider swapping sludge belcher for the old senjin which evens out the curve a bit. Keep
Can't wait for more Dragon-themed decks!
Looks interesting, but I don't know if I could get used to playing a deck where your turn two will always be to dagger, given that there are no two drops. Eh, maybe it's easier to play than it looks.
I can't decide if Chromaggus will see play or not. It seems like it could be great in a slow meta, but it might also suffer from not doing enough compared to other cards in that mana slot.
It'll be interesting to see this in play.
Wouldn't it make more sense to just have waited until all the cards in the deck actually came out before putting it on the front page? By the time all the cards come out, it will be far enough back that no one will see it, and therefore less people will actually end up using the deck.
The deck idea is very good but 5 drop heavy and not much AoE only a skulker and Blade flurry.
doesnt have any stand alone drop to enable combo and volcanic drake feels like its just there to fill a spot while not much spell for azure drake.
dr. boom sticks out as the only BGH target.
This Dragon Rogue definitely deserves a try. I hope not to kill myself with Chromaggus.
I really need to get around to trying grim patron warrior. :\
Because it's an interesting and creative deck? /whiteknight
I can't wait for the trolden video where someone sprints forgetting about the Chromaggus they had played and ends up milling themselves.
But in all seriousness, that looks like a cool deck I'll have to try.
Chromaggus doesn't work how you think it works. You can't mill yourself with it. It makes COPIES of cards you draw. It doesn't draw any additional cards.
Also, this deck looks terrible and isn't a dragon deck. It's just rogue with a couple of dragons. Yawn.
And you don't seem to understand how copy's can mill you.
Let's say you have a hand of 6 cards Sprint, 4 other cards, and a Chromaggus which you play. Next turn you draw a card and copy giving you 7 cards in hand due to copy and then you sprint drawing 2 cards and copying them (for a total of 10 cards in hand) and mill the other 2.
Chromaggus can mill you when you draw multiple cards because copies take up space in your hand which is why playing one against a mill rogue is like asking to lose as a coldlight will add 4 cards to your hand until full and then mill you 2 cards after it's full (meaning a rogue could mill you a card even if your hand was empty with 3 coldlight plays).
