Deck Spotlight: Chaoss Shaman
In tonight's deck spotlight we're taking a look at CameronChaoss' Midrange Chaoss Shaman. The Mech theme is strong with this one, half the deck being made up of these awesome contraptions. There isn't a whole lot to say about this deck other than it's solid and people are having a great time with it, so check out the writeup!
The deck has a crafting cost of 4780 dust, nothing too extreme, although it does contain Al'Akir the Windlord (can be subbed with Doomhammer! and Neptulon, so it's quite a bit to invest in the class if you don't have them already. Check out the deck below to get crafting, and be sure to head on over to the deck guide to learn about how this thing works!

What Style of Decks do you like the most?
We spotlight a lot of decks, and would love to know what you want to see more of. Be sure to also let us know in the comments anything else you'd like to see from deck spotlights!
I thought combo would be highest...
tryhards.
Can u give a more full description of tempo ? pls.
Thanks a lot for the shout out man! I really appreciate it. The deck has blown up like I never expected and I'm stoked about it. Though I WOULD like to point out that I have subbed out the Piloted Sky Golem for Dr. Boom, but the deck is fundamentally the same no matter which of those cards you play in it. Dr. Boom I think makes the deck as a whole slightly better, but Piloted Sky Golem makes for a much cheaper deck with little loss of functionality.
Wombo combos all day.
Sorry guys, I never played CCG before, what is the difference between Tempo and Midrange?
All them zoo locks are probably thinking that they're playing control deck...
I understand the sentiment, but it is designed to be a board control deck.
The priority for Zoo is (or should be) maintaining board control. Use the hero power to feed a steady supply of cheap, efficient minions that buff one another for trading into the opponent's minions. The opponent's face should only be attacked when A) facing a clear board, B) killing the opponent's minion does more harm than good, or C) when lethal damage is in range.
That said, it's a cheap enough build that inexperienced players often use it to play "see face, hit face." This ultimately makes the deck less effective and more vulnerable to board wipes.
All them zoo locks be like:
"Ohhh i play control im so good at this gaem i have da skillz"
LOL at the 50% control votes, meanwhile in game there's like 80% aggro.
Midrange decks, I feel they have the best potential all around.
That Shaman deck looks fun. Haven't pulled a Neptulon yet, though.
my favourite type of playstyle is TEMPO but it is not in the poll.. so i choose combo (which i also enjoy as a playstyle) ..
I voted for control even though I don't play it that much. It just feels like, how hearthstone should be played. Not the mindless, undertaker rush face tactic sort of thing. It's just boring and unsatisfying to win that way.
If the game was "meant to be played control", why are there "rush cards"? (e.g Leper Gnome, Leeroy Jenkins, Arcane Golem)
I don't think Blizzard would have added these cards if they didn't see them working specifically in aggro decks.
(By saying they are rush cards, I mean that they are cards that don't perform as good in control, but go well in aggro decks)
No, I meant control as in, playing strategically. Like baiting removals, knowing what card the opponent has, when to go all in or hold cards. Playing mindgames, just like poker.
I'm just sayin' it's how I envisioned the game to be like. I'm not saying you can't go play your cancer hunters and whatnot.
It's interesting to see how people are using Neptulon in decks that aren't murloc-based. Everyone thought Neptulon was useless, but it seems like people are using him! Pretty cool deck, Thanks Flux!
A war golem that gives you 4 murlocs is always useful :D
I guess when you look at it that way it is! Shaman always lacked card draw so it gives them a bit more juice in the late game I suppose. Really cool stuff!
Not only card draw, but card draw with sinergy! (well, most of the time)
