Might be very strong card in some decks and some situations but it will also greatly restrict your plays after this one is on table.
Very difficult to play around but since it's when attacked you do get options. Hard removal poly effects and bounce effects diminish its power still very strong though.
I MADE THIS ONE 3 MONTH AGO...
When vs After
When make it much stronger
I know, this is why I made it 2 mana
Great art.
I cant say if its good or not, playable or not cause card reveals differentiate from when the cards are actually in the game.
Its sure an “annoying “ tool to play against 😝
Go ahead friend, attack my Ragnaros the Firelord
That cards looks so broken, this will make me hate playing against mages even more....
It's alright, perhaps even good. It's nice that is uses a different trigger than any other Mage Secret. I don't think it will put Secret Mage back on the map, since there are just no high-value targets in your deck, but with Masked Contender around... who knows.
I'm assuming this proc's before your minion takes damage from being attacked? Interesting, this is really great for anti-removal + spell counter confusion. I'd imagine seeing this in a new version of the aggro Spell++ Aluneth/miracle mage, that was whacked over by the Mana Wyrm nerf.
Well I'm gonna have some serious shenanigans with this card. Best mage secret they've made in a while.
With that new legendary, Shaman disagrees. :D
Strong, but currently doesn't eem to fit into any deck. Also, here'S why Mana Wyrm nerf was justified
You could get a low drop or be forced to initiate the trade, if you were behind. The card is good, but it aint gonna be good in every situation.
The risk is having this in your deck / hand against an aggro deck. This is a dead card that you don't want to play or have in your hand at T3 in that scenario. The other part is the setup, much like any other secret, in knowing when to play this card. It isn't necessarily a High Reward either unless you know how to in fact set it up so your opponent can't play around it. Tough to do, and really at that point you are likely already ahead on board if they are concerned with trading with your minions.
Well, having an extra taunt minion in the form of this card in your hand for 3 mana isn't bad against an aggro deck, especially since they probably don't have any minion removal to play around it. And the high roll possibility against a control deck that doesn't know whether to play a spell that can get countered or attack the minion that might get duplicated...
Mage secrets have always been a problem because a 3 mana do nothing card is not something you want in your deck. But providing you can draw it or play it for free, it might be worth it. I'm specifically looking for the highlights of this card duplicating The Lich King and Ragnaros the Firelord...
I don't think it's gonna protect big minions a lot of the times since those are usually handled with removals. It's rather for early game pressure so keeping alive stuff like sorcerers apprentice, SD elemental.
Interesting secret :)
This card is wow. Simply play Kirin tor mage on turn three + this, then get Kirin tor back after your opponent spends his turn killing it. A simple tempo play like that is really all tempo mage needs to win most games straight up.
Mage needs a really solid one drop still now that Mana wyrm is gone, but this is going to help return tempo mage to tier 1.
Just plain BONKERS! I may have to play mage. Again.
