Hearthside Chat: Even & Odd w/ Dean Ayala - Four New Witchwood Cards Revealed
March 26th certainly has come early. Four new cards were revealed alongside a video today where Dean Ayala talks about Even & Odd cards in Hearthstone. Mike Donais has further confirmed that not every class is getting a card which works with even or odd cards. (Source)

"You are tearing the community APART, BRODE!"
As I mostly play in Arena I really, really, really hope they will not end up there.
really bad for arena .
The Mage and Shaman cards are perfectly fine without the effect, and the others will be offered with similarly bad cards, so they might be the best option of the three anyway.
They're most likely going to be like C'Thun based cards and won't be in the arena card pool.
That's my guess anyway.
Good to see they're supporting the odd/even gimmick and not just restricting it to Genn and Baku.
Always Priest, that looks OP
Really though?
I play priest a lot and I would never want to spend 5 mana for a 4/4 and double health on my max 2 other minions
You need some serious board presence to use that combo and... well, haven't you already won in that case?
I think this is another win more card.
So Voidlord and Carnivorous Cube are both odd-cost cards. If this expansion has some powerful Warlock cards that require even-cost only cards then I suppose this whole odd/even focus could sway Warlock players away from Cubelock. Of course, the problem is said cards would need to be as powerful overall as the Cubelock synergies to sway said players from Cubelock.
I don't think we're going to see an Odd Cubelock. They'd lose Defile and Hellfire, leaving them wide open to aggro while they tap and/or play Kobold Librarian during the early turns.
Regarding an Even Warlock, maybe there's room for a Handlock, but then you're losing the healing from Dark Pact that has become so important recently in Warlock to make tapping safe.
I don't think Odd Cubelock will be that strong comparing to the orignal version. Odd Cubelock will lose defile, hell fire, spell stone (even shadow flame) which are very important for them to clear board, removal. On top of that Odd Cubelock won't have Umbra to combo and Gul'dan as their win condition. Most of the time Cubelock doesn't win in control battles (or even against aggro) because of the "Cube" but because of Gul'dan brings back huge value and HP that suck away the enemy health. You can Cube/copy Doomguard/Void Lord for several times then what? You don't have win condition anymore.
All of these just happen to be beasts? Very odd. Especially in Priest and Shaman. I wonder what other beast synergies Witchwood will bring being woods and all.
Except the eel, which is even.
Odd, as in interesting and different. Not the numbers...
Probably nothing big. Remember there were heaps of beast minions in Un'Goro but there wasn't really any synergy with them except for hunter and druid.
Heh, now is not the best time to use that word for anything else than the number..
