2 things:
1- I think that MMR does play a role on ranks 1-25 and not only on ladder.
2- What ChanMan meant was that the power level distribution of all arena decks is going to become flatter and I agree
Hooray! Another hour and a half of Gaara complaining about almost anything you can think of!
I feel like ChanManV does a podcast for every single blizzard game but probably doesn't really play any of them.
Interesting discussion on the Arena changes. I have to disagree with ChanManV's statement though, that these changes bring good players and not-so-good players closer together. From where I stand, it should be the opposite.
In the old system, when you get offered 3 cards that differ in their power level, everyone and their mother who have some experience in Hearthstone can figure out the good one. So when you get a bunch of picks where the choice is obvious, you don't have to be a good player / deck builder to assemble a good deck.
When the new system offers 3 cards that are on a same power level in a vacuum, you have to be a good player to actually pick the best card for your current draft in order to build a good deck. Otherwise you will just end up with a pile of good cards that don't work together.
Exactly this. There will be less trying to make bad and mediocre cards work, so people with better decks will just win off of tempo. ChanmanV was never any good at drawing conclusions in HS. Or anything in HS, to be blatantly honest.
Folks who watched it taking time to comment but not sharing any summary or takeaways.
