To Gaara, ChanMan, Admirable and to everyone: the word is "often" not "oftentimes". "Often" is already a time adverb, "oftentimes" is redundant. I get that people want to uphold the parallelism with "sometimes" but the word "some" is not a time adverb so it needs the word "times" in front to be used as such.
Other than that it was a good show although I fell that they didn't have a lot of material this week.
Community is begging for nerfs on the length / asking for vids to be time stamped. We got Yogg nerfed faster than this. :)
ResidentSleeper
I've started looking into this, and the content is indeed nice, but I think I talk with the whole community backing me when I say long videos like this should either:
- just be shorter: don't cut topics, just be more concise
- be divided into multiple videos within the same article, each one with its title
- come together with a short list of topics, which summarizes the things the video talks about, and ESPECIALLY indicates at which time each topic is talked about
IMHO the last approach is the better one, as it also lets people understand what the video is really about and decide if it's worth their time or not.
At the moment, long videos like this without any index of sort are just so hard to come through.. they just risk being ignored, which would be a pity given the effort put into them. So please, do both us and you a favor, and improve the presentation, thank you.
Yeah, 1:40 h without timestamps, gg.
Every week for over a year this has been mentioned yet they still don't index or time stamp. Very foolish owners of this podcast.
Omnistone does a really good job of timestamping different points so you can skip to the parts of the video you want.
I wrote it in the Youtube section and he replyed :
Agreed .. I just added timestamps to the description. FYI, the reason I hadn't done this before was mainly a time issue. I try to get these videos out ASAP and still will but the timestamps in the future after I release the video.
