A nice 1-drop for Priests, that unlike Northshire Cleric, doesn't require any set up. You just plop it on the board and you're good to go. It also gives you information about your opponent's deck, effectively draws a card without fatiguing yourself, and is another Deathrattle minion for the Quest.
Overall, it seems like a really good card.
"No more powercreep"
I feel like this card should of been a 2 mana 2/2. It is a great card but the problem i see is that you will not end up playing it on turn 1 unless you face aggro. turn 1 you are going to play the priest quest and turn 2 is when you would play this. on turn 2 you should be playing a two cost card and not a one cost card.
Oh goody. More annoying broken Priest stealing cards.
At least this will definitely help with Awaken the Makers.
What i like about this card, and the other Priest card revealed last Friday is that it seems Blizzard is definitely printing class cards that support the quest that each class gets.
Where the Priest quest at first seemed cool but not super great, it now already seems very playable.
At risk here is that all nine classes will basically have a full deck pre-defined by Blizzard, which i'm not a fan of but is in line with the last couple of releases where Blizzard basically is the one that designs decks instead of the player.
Yeah they should have just made random ass stuff that doesn't synergize at all. That would have been better
new wild priest archetype playing priest quest and a 14-20 mediocre deathrattle minions, winning the game with double entomb and n'zoth
Entomb is rotating out...
"new wild priest archetype"
It doesn't matter if it is rotating out.
Read that comment again and explain to me, where in Wild cards rotate out...
Shifting Shade crying, no tribal! should have been demon! This is Elemental tribe too!
Shifting Shade is undead, eventually it'll get its own tribal tag I assume.
Overpowered 1-drop: check
Blizzard is really power creeping the "cost" of card generation. Remember when card draw/generation used to "cost" 1-1.5mp? Now we're constantly getting 1mp card generation on top of a 1/1 body.
For those that don't realize how broken this is, its way better than Swashburglar, because you're a lot less likely to get useless cards like Demonfuse. It also gives you information on the opponent's deck, as early as turn 2 to boot! It also contributes to Awaken the Makers. Don't forget the Elemental tag, its likely to have even more crazy ass synergy...
Like Obvhero pointed out, Battlecry is stronger than Deathrattle (usually, considering the Priest quest, this card being a deathrattle is a bonus, but in Rogue with Shadowstep and Vanish and shit, Battlecry is way stronger), so I think it evens out a bit.
Rogue "thief" cards are always random class cards while Priest "Mind Control" cards are always cards in opponent deck.
Priest makes sure you dont get really bad cards that aren't viable in constructed, which is a big bonus.
Rogue makes sure you get class cards (overall stronger than Neutral), and their burgly cards tend to be somewhat better (Swashburgler has Battlecry instead of Deathrattle, Undercity Huckster only lose 1 stat, Shaku the Collector can get multiple cards and has stealth, Ethereal Peddler is AWESOME) so it evens out.
Plus being able to randomly draw Sacrificial Pact to 1-shot Jarraxus when playing against a Warlock is alot easier when getting a random class card vs. getting a card from a warlock deck that just happens to be running it which isn't always.
> Priest makes sure you dont get really bad cards that aren't viable in constructed, which is a big bonus.
I'd believe this except for the many, many times I've obtained Deadly Poison with Mind Vision, Thoughtsteal, or a Shifting Shade.
This card isn't that great when it's not played on turn 1, and it also goes into your Nzoth graveyard.
Priest version of Swashburglar , Babbling Book or Webspinner
Unlike N'Zoth's First Mate or Alleycat it works in the lategame.
Reliquary Seeker only works in zoo, somehow like Timber Wolf that is a "support" card
The somehow most flexible 1drop would be Forbidden Ancient ... but over all i would rate this one better than Swashburglar , Babbling Book or Webspinner, because you will get something on constructed level AND you will know what you enemy plays from turn one...
Even better.. it works with buffs and with the new quest
Anyone notice that Thoughsteal says "Copy two cards in your opponent's deck" while this says "Copy a card from your opponent's deck"?
I believe the semantics are negligible. They likely have the same effect. (I could be wrong)
