Encounter at the Cross Roads is this Week's Brawl! There's a Twist Though, and an Un'Goro Pack Reward!
Encounter at the crossroads! Pick a class. Let's see what's in your deck this time!
Trivia
- We've seen this brawl a total of 5 times now.
- The first time we saw this brawl was on July 15, 2015.
- This week's brawl has a slight modification featuring Party Crashers. These probably won't be in future Crossroad brawls.
- We get an Un'Goro pack this week as a special reward for winning a game! This pack cannot be opened until the expansion releases.
The Brawl
- Choose your class and get a randomized deck of cards.
- The deck will contain 15 class cards and 15 neutrals.
- It is possible to break the normal card limitation where you can have more of 2 than a card (more than 1 for legendaries).
- This Week: Party Crashers start being summoned after a couple of turns.
- These minions are 4-mana 3/5s which have Taunt and attack automatically at the end of your turn into your opponent's face.
Discuss This Week's Brawl
Head on over to the discussion thread on our Tavern Brawl forums!
This one took me a few tries to win. I wasn't expecting the party crashes. They have that name for a reason. It for sure made things more rough for me.
But I got my pack for the week. So I am grateful for that.
Yea, the Party Crashers take the fun out of it. All I had to do was end turn when I got my fourth one on the board.
I didn't even get salty when my opponent pulled off some crazy RNG shit.
That's how bad this brawl is I guess...
Thanks Blizzard for ruining one of my favorite brawls with this Party Crasher nonsense. I was actually excited to see this again and then THAT happens which just took what is fun about this brawl and threw it out the window.
this brawl is so disappointing especially in such a time where the meta is so boring and repetitive
u basically use a random deck to hit face asap
This brawl is awesome! Wanna play over and over again for 4 days. 👍🏻
This is a fine brawl
no seriously, hear me out here.
This is what i love about these things, and it's a lovely way of testing out new crazy fun stuff.
You get to pick a character (all up to you, i picked warlock because quests)
You play a few games. Win/lose doesn't really matter. Hold on there. Win does matter, winning is fun! But it's based on rng and plays, not the actual deck you are playing. Oh. Where are the jades? Where are the pirates? I'm having a blast with a decent winstreak and i don't have to own a god darn thing. This is how it's meant to be. drawing right, drawing wrong. Adjusting. Having a win condition that the opponent *does not know* about. Many of us are fed up with the ladder and its tiered decks. We want to show that we are worth a damn even as underdogs. This brawl is exactly the resort i want to be in when everything else fails, my buffadin won't progress etc. Randomness is a lovely thing, and this brawl let us take control of completely random decks and actually think for ourselves. 10/10,
You'd only wanna play this brawl once to get the pack but after that, what's the point in continuuing when it ceases to provide the majority of the players any long-lasting fun? What's the point of doing a brawl 20 more times when all you're going to see are the same old repetitive stuff with 0 skill involved, not to mention the lack of entertainment value.
To me, and what should be everyone's definition of a good tavern brawl is , not only whatever new mechanic the devs want to introduce to make a tavern brawl 'interesting, and new,' or that stupid pack. Those mechanics need to promote LONGEVITY to the brawls -- mechanics that should sustain the desire and interest of the HS players to brawl over and over again until it ends because?? For F's sake, It's fucking fun AND DIFFERENT even if playing it a hundred times doesn't give any rewards. Gaining something, albeit intangible, is not the point for most of us. A lot of us aren't career players, we just want to have fun! Isn't that the point?.. isn't this game, at its core, essentially for people to have fun and entertain ourselves? I play this 99.99% of the time to have fun. Because if it isn't for fun, what the hell would compell me and others like myself to to continue? So pardon us simple folks who don't make this game a 'career' and just point blank desire segments every now and then that bring the kind of fun we want and rightfully justified to expect a brawl much more better than this.
A game where goin second and hitting face actually makes you wins.
Anyway, it isn't impossible to win going first. It's hard but not impossible.
I noticed that too. If you go second but curve out, you almost always win. That's because you get the first party crasher and if haven't lost board control, it's pretty much game over unless they have removal for the crashers.
Magma Rager value
So blessing of wisdom does not work on those Party Crashsers. While it does clearly say attack in it's description. Nice consistency Blizzard.
You're actually upset about this?
Worlds first going first win. Brawl perfectly balanced. Gray Face (no space).
Tavern Brawls aren't meant to always be balanced. The point of them is for the devs to be able to test new ideas and mechanics in an environment where they won't break their game. You are also being reward a pack for just winning one time, hell it's even a new pack this time. So what if you have to play a few more times than normal? It astounds me how people are pissed off by the most stupid things.
And just like how people complain about stupid things, people like you readily get on the preaching high horse even if there's no logic in your argument. People complain just as easily as some people act like experts of the game.
BGH 2017- Blizzard trolling
It wasn't great but at least I got to open a pack. No, wait...
This brawl is awesome! Can't get enough of it! Have like 50 wins already. Ooooh there's so something about this brawl that makes me wanna play and play and play it all over again.
WTF "avaible in mid April", they said it comes out in early april?
