Tavern Brawl: Closed For Renovations

Last week's Tavern Brawl closed earlier this morning and instead of saying the usual "Returns in x days" message, it states that it will be "Closed for Renovations". This isn't the first time this has happened, the first occurrence was back in August right before The Grand Tournament brawl.

It's interesting to say the least. We'll find out soon if it means anything.

Last Minute Ladder Climbing Decks - Super Spotlight!

With the new ranked rewards that were added to encourage ladder play last month, it's worth trying to climb up a few extra ranks for additional dust and golden cards. Since we think everyone should make their collections more awesome, we're here to help you find some epic decks for those epic rewards.

Onward, Champion, for our five favourite decks for climbing as we move into the October season.

Druid: C-C-C-Combo Druid

We're starting off with a deck that is quite strong as of late with many pro players (Hey StrifeCro!) taking it for a spin in tournaments and on ladder. If you're encountering a bunch of Patron or DemonHand, this is a great deck for you.

Paladin: Oh Christmas Tree

Have you ever wanted to dress yourself up in lights and spam emotes at your enemy? Secretadin, thanks to TGT's Mysterious Challenger, has been doing wonders on the ladder and is not only fairly easy to get into, but is also not too bad on the bank coming in at 5160 arcane dust.

Check out Bloor's guide to Secretadin to learn more about this super fun deck.

Priest: I want to see the Dargons!

Dragon Priest has been quite a popular archetype since the introduction of Wyrmrest Agent, Twilight Guardian, and Chillmaw. It's not surprising since not only is the deck is very consistent, but it is also a ton of fun and is something we've been waiting for for a while - Yay Dragons!

If you need a guide, Sigma has you covered!

Warlock: Demon Handlock

Ah yes, the great Demon Handlock we've seen played in many tournaments as of late and more importantly, has been a staple on the ladder for what feels like forever. The only downside to the deck is the steep crafting cost, coming in at 7640 dust.

Krafton has written a great guide to Demon Handlock which teaches you about the deck and its various match-ups.

Warrior: Everyone, Get in Here!

It's no surprise that Grim Patron is included here. The deck is easy to get into, yet difficult to master, and has been proven to lead to your opponent's leaving the game if they're already frustrated losing to it. The deck is super cheap costing 760 dust.. and the BRM Adventure.

Senfglas has us covered with an excellent guide to Grim Patron Warrior, and if you'd like a slightly tweaked list, Kolento played one a couple of week's back at the Archon Team League Championships.
