posted a message on I meet only Big Priest, Cubelock and Kingsbane Rogue on Wild now...

While it seems like you guys are kinda salty about the lack of variety in wild, I think thats only a problem above rank 10. I personally am sitting at garbage-tier rank 15 and I see lots of deck variety but still a lot of kings bane rogue and cube lock. I dunno. Just as a note, after the expansion came out, the wild meta barely changed... but thats probably because a. I'm low ranked b. Wild doesn't change quickly and people need to find new decks.

posted a message on Swear to god arena matchmaking is rigged

Actually, I think the matchmaking is rigged but not in the way you think it is. So, during Kobolds and Catacombs, they introduced a system where cards are drafted based on approximate power levels and not rarity. It is quite possible that the people who get the highest amount of high rated cards on their power level scale will be more likely to play against people who have a similar amount of high rated cards. I have noticed a similar phenomenon to what OP was mentioning, where I usually only face decks of similar power. I can surmise this because there were no arena games since the expansion came out where I was crushed, which is unusual because there is usually about one crazy good deck every 5 games. I personally think that this is a negative change, as it is now very difficult to get past 5 wins for people who are not gods at Hearthstone. Also, decks with just good tempo plays and good draws tend to win these days; it's hard to find cards that create swing turns. Shaman will never be particularly strong, as while it has some individually good cards, it tends to need some synergy to work well. I think that board clears have lost some of their value in arena, as I feel like there is more sustain in arena now.

It is always good in Rogue, can be good in Druid, maybe in aggressive paladin, not sure what else.

posted a message on Midrange Hunter (Low cost) 54% Winrate

I love this deck and I have beaten many different archetypes of decks. Cube lock is a very tricky matchup, but this deck beats Baku Hunter and Shudderwock Shaman very easily. I do often find myself winning against Baku Paladin but that is kind of iffy; I think I am 3-1 against that deck. The deck is fun and kind of easy to use, and I can definitely recommend it for any F2P players out there. I do plan to try Hunting Mastiff. To be honest, I am very happy that a kind of midrange hunter is viable again, as it is my tradition to make one at the start of every expansion. It's nice to see a very cheap deck viable for once.

I think that the problem is just how people are just missing the point of Hearthstone, which is to build your own decks and change them based on how they do against other decks. People who netdeck just miss that entire facer of Hearthstone. It's kind of sad how people will just ignore one of the best parts of Hearthstone simply to get free ranks.

posted a message on Grumble is the problem

I think that a nerf to reduce this deck's play rate is in order. I mostly play wild and I even see some Shudderwock decks there. I think that the best solution is simply to reduce Grumble's effectiveness in relation to Shudderwock. While the simplest solution is to nerf Shudderwock, it is not necessarily the best solution. I remember seeing something akin to this earlier in this thread, but the best solution would be to make the Grumble battlecry only trigger on Elementals. The entire purpose of Grumble is to give Elemental decks a way to generate more value. However, the Shudderwock deck is clearly not an elemental deck. While the Shudderwock deck is not necessarily an excellent deck, it does not encourage clever play or interesting games. I have seen many comparisons of this deck to Quest Rogue, and I think that is an apt comparison, as both decks do not encourage complex plays or difficult choice-making. Actually, the skill ceiling for Shudderwock Shaman is lower than that of the pre-nerf quest rogue. Therefore, it must be changed.

posted a message on New Hunter Legendary - Emeriss

I think that this card brings up the question of whether control hunter will be a viable archetype in the next expansion. Whether or not this card will be viable depends on what cards Blizzard releases with the expansion, because a good amount of the current control hunter (which is not great) cards are rotating out, and whether or not Blizzard supports the entire archetype will make or break this card. I personally think they will support the archetype to a certain extent, but I personally doubt that it will be in the top two tiers of the meta.

posted a message on [Kobolds] Control Hunter

I like this deck, although I did create a slight variation. For a little bit more late game value, I added in Curator and two Scalebanes instead of Lich King, Cult Master, and Call of the Wild, and I replaced Macaw with an On the Hunt.

Reno priest is still pretty strong. I have faced off against some since the expansion came out and it kinda sucked even though I was playing recruit paladin which did work very well.

posted a message on Dungeon run had potential, but blizzard again screwed up, as expected

To be honest I think that dungeon run is a great idea and somewhat well implemented. Maybe there should be like a 10-30 gold reward for beating the final boss but I think as it is it is fine.

Working out great so far. I did make a few changes, because I don't have the pirate package and I didn't want to craft call to arms. I added tyrion, lay on hands, spike ridged steed, and the paladin weapon. And two consecrations.

posted a message on Is Anyone in a terrible lose streak?

To be fair, Hearthstone is half luck, half skill. At least constructed is. So, if the luck portion is not working out for you, work on the skill. I would watch some streams, look at strategies, modify your deck according to strategies you like. Modify it to counter popular decks. Cut down on your misplays. Play some arena, because that will help you with your Hearthstone mindset (predicting opponent's moves and cards), you need to think about math, probabilities. Count some cards. Figure out what your odds of getting a certain mulligan is. You can get very far with an F2P deck. You don't need to spend lots of money. Figure out what works for you, and follow that.

I would personally save my money for something that isn't a game, but there are definitely people who would like an actual course on Hearthstone.

You could go play control warlock in wild. You could also make a taunt druid or something.

posted a message on Standard or Wild?

I think that wild does tend to be more fun. You do see a lot of priests, and that's annoying and you  need to tech your deck to beat them, but all in all, wild has much more deck variation, and your options are far more open because you can explore possibilities not possible in standard because of card limitations. Just keep in mind that it is meant for more experienced players, and you need to definitely do some exploration with cards and decks. My last advice is to look at all the wild cards and figure out how to counter them. That is definitely the most difficult part of wild.
