This is awesome. We WILL have a solid control hunter, if not with this expansion, then some day.
this is not a control tool this is a mid range tool... i don't know why people keep thinking that hunter mid range is control... if you want to see a control hunter deck look at my control hunter deck... that is control
Meh, I think it will be a great midrange tool obviously, but I also think it has potential in other hunter decks, including control flavors. Your control hunter decks are quite cool, but not the only way to build one, especially in the future with an unknown pool of cards available.
I pride myself in making decks that don't follow the meta and use the occasional card that is otherwise rarely, if ever, used. That said I'm at a loss with this card. I can't think of any niche where this card would be acceptable. At any other rarity it would have been subpar. As a Legendary it's a travesty.
This right here. I am very open-minded and forgiving of wonky cards, and I love to experiment with "bad" cards, but this one just blows my mind at how subpar it is. Maybe if it cost one less mana it would be playable, but even then, I think I'd rather just run Gruul.
TBH I think this is quite intriguing, but I openly admit to being a fan of hilariously stupid and/or disgustingly slow decks (I actually think Poisoned Blade is pretty cool too.) If nothing else you have to like the aesthetics of the thing; it just makes me laugh.
Seems like it would be considerably harder to code, but I too crave this feature. I love armchair quarterbacking a friend's arena run in spectator mode, and it would make it way easier to help somebody draft (or just mercilessly criticize their decisions :P ).
I have no idea, but probably two to three hundred bucks over the past couple years, if I'm being honest. Which is kind of bonkers* because I originally intended to be F2P just as a challenge to myself, but whatever, I have no regrets — I genuinely love the game and don't spend any money on console games and hardly any on other PC games. That said, I think people should do whatever they want, and the game can be just as much fun without spending much or any actual currency on it.
* although as South Park taught us all, Freemium isn't Free. ;)
This is hilarious. I've had some crazy fun with Summoning Stone already with some totally batshit decks in Priest and Rogue (with master of disguise wooo), but with Lock and Load hunter? Why didn't I think of that!?
I'd say mostly yes, if you're just swapping one out and all other things being equal. If a deck is built with Juggernaut in mind, however, he will become better than a BO in the same slot, of course - but then the deck is quite possibly going to be worse ... but also more fun to play, maybe. :P
Ever try squeezing Sylvanas in there in slower metas? Gods do I love using Shadowflame on Sylvanas late game to clear the board + steal some important fat minion.
I can see why this deck is so consistent - it is strong and agile to the point of being almost boring / annoyingly good as a concept, if that makes any sense. I frequently like to play similar but even greedier locks — which means worse win rates but more entertaining to me personally. ;)
Does anyone know either (A) where this card art is from or (B) if this is based on any pre-existing Warcraft character, or if it is an entirely new concept? I don't remember seeing any of Cenarius' Children in knightly armor in Icecrown back in Wrath (maybe I'm just forgetting something). I'm not complaining, I'm just curious — I guess it makes sense enough with every faction in the universe itching to participate in this Grand Tournament apparently. I can even buy that warlock demon knight, silly as it is.

My favorite new card so far. Can't wait to try this thing!

Please revert this asinine change. The pack opener is depressingly pointless.

Too many to count. I love shitty legendaries!

This is all I'm wondering too, OP. Haven't tried this yet, looks cool and all, but seems like one or two Shadowsteps would fit in perfectly?
