So with MSG we got the tri class faction system and blizzard got people to go all pokemon go in terms of factions. I went with goons cause they fit my ideals of a gangster faction. However I quickly discovered that they were not as powerful in some classes as I would have liked. This was a theme in all the classes. One class was the strongest and the rest were relegated to lesser degrees of good. It was at this point I realized there was only really one true faction of Gadgetzan. One that ruled them all....
PIRATES!!!!!
Jade lotus. The invest into bigger board mechanic is too slow to deter pirates by the time you get a board that can really cause a pirate deck problem, your dead.
The Kabal. Reno Jackson either get it by 6 or you are dead.
Grimy goons. Due to the nature of the faction getting value requires good curving and or good opening. pirates dont give a damn about these things and thus kill you before you get any of you cool combos.
Thanks, will do. Only the deck section to go now. How successful is it? Can it push to ranks 7-8 upwards? Has anyone really tried something similar in ranked? If so, please tell me how it performs.
That's a good question. Depending on the meta it can have some issue. Because this a pure face rush, all or nothing kinda deck, classes or decks in general with a lot of taunt in the early to mid game become a problem. So Shaman can be the bane of this deck if you do not pull the mass dispel on time. Also Arcane nulifier becomes an issue and if that card keeps seeing play will require a sub of the single silence for a iron beak owl. Against most control decks it just crushes them even control warrior with all its armor generation never gets a decent counter board to make it worth going for their combo plays and thus the end game bursts can really screw them up. The other deck design that has shown the ability to counter this deck is mages. Never having to trade into the low drop minions and being able to hero power them instead of using minions gives them an edge, not to mention ice block is annoying.
As for higher rank play. Noxious has been able to pilot a his version based off my original concept, into and past 7. The variation is in the silence options and an extra azure drake, and leeroy. I opted for more early game burst with the wolf riders so I am not so heavily reliant on all the damage spells for the end game.
The deck is strong, can come away with some amazing victories but like all things in hearthstone knowing your deck and rng are always a factor.
My disdain for hunter player in general aside. Your deck is based on the same garbage we see in lower ranks. Smart or "SKILLED" players know these tricks and have seen it enough to be able to counter it. So you need to change up a lot. Change up the traps. Or better yet play a class that isnt cancerous.
IF zoo wants to beat handlock it needs to adapt like all decks....Back when zoo could be handlock it used burst minion synergy. IE Leeroy + Power overwhelming. Now with the leeroy nerf the closest we will get is a arcane golem burst and that is not ideal at all considering giving handlock any extra help is just getting Giants and Juraxxus out sooner. If you want a warlock deck that can take on Handlock, and I know Im going to get so much hate for this. Murlocks.
I agree with that completely haha. I'm not asking to completely ruin hunter. I still think Undertaker should be temporarily removed from the game and brought back as a "Mana Wyrm" equivalent for a death knight class, whenever it comes out. I don't see that happening though hah.
I can see that...Though it wont happen. I do think the +1 +1 is a tad broken considering the amount of low drop Death Rattle in the game. And since there are 3 beast with DR and a minion that pulls secrets into play with Dr it really does make hunters have a huge advantage, that being said PRIEST TAKE A BIG FAT DUMP ALL OVER THEM. Zoo can easily beat them. Paladin can easily beat them. Thats 3 strong current builds that have good % against them. Hell even druids can control them down.
Um a made a damn video outlining how to linch pin these decks. Yeah hunter was my favorite class but I havent changed that since that feature went live....I play many decks.....So your alegation of bias is completely unfounded...L2ADAPT.
teching or tech cards are very situational cards. Example of this is Acidic swamp ooze. This card is great cause many classes have weapons and it provides one hell of a denial to hunters and warriors. Tech cards are meant to deal with some pretty specific threats. As per your question on how to tech against control warrior thats pretty much a class specific question or play style question. but it general its silence minions to negate his draw and armor engines. For paladin again class specific sorta deal, but The black knight works great to deal with all the taunts and two hard removals.
As for why earthen ring is god against aggro, it helps negate the damage you just took and gives you a 3/3 body which can chew through most of whats in a aggro deck.

Patches the Pirate looked like a joke but turned out to be a sleeper hit. Add in Small-Time Buccaneer and Hobart Grapplehammer to any previous pirate warrior deck and you have the makings of one of the most powerful aggro decks ever. Even pre nerf Undertaker is crying.

not all that impressive. I mean how do you fit it. I mean some one may find a value and create a cool concept but as I see it not really.
Strifecro vs Kolento Battle for the money. Plus I want to hear about the new changes, cards, and what not that is coming in the future.

Handlock 75% chance at victory vs zoo.

its an amazing counter to the early game of hunters.

Beating hunters is supper easy...you need 2 cards Iron beak owl and acidic swamp ooze.
would drop the chows for wrath to many hunters.
