It would be funny if it weren't that sad. Every, every goddamn single friendship request after a match begins and ends with a trash-talk. People complain about decks, luck, emotes, whatever. Or simply throw an insult and immediately leave. You are pathetic, guys, how don't you understand that? I'm not even offended, but... I feel kinda sad about that.
Most often when i get a FR after a match its to talk about the uniqueness of the deck the other player is playing, compliment em on that, etc. I've only had one person trash talk me after a match and it was when i spammed emotes with noggenfogger on the board trying to get the sorry emote.
If I accept a friend request, I usually try to defuse any possible aggression with a "hey dude GG" or something funny to break the ice. I like to think it makes them think twice about being an asshole to me, but it's inevitable that salty players will still try to get a few licks in. When they do, I default to "lol thanks you too, appreciate the easy win" /unfriend.
I’ve requested a time or two salty as fuck, I’ve never gone as far as some of the ppl I’ve heard about usually just “try not to be such a dick next time”. I just get irritated when I’m trying to do some quest in casual and it’s the 6th netdeck in a row who’s emote spamming and bming.
I'm always a little sad when I try to friend request someone after playing against/losing to a cool off meta deck to compliment them and they ignore me thinking I'm someone salty or something

Reading through all these posts I feel really fortunate that I've never once been trash talked by anyone. In fact I've added people a few times myself and am always happy to surprise them by not shouting obscenities.
I had an experience where I accepted a request after leaving HS for a few hours and not knowing what game the guys was from. After a few DAYS passed, I was crafting some cards and he told me that I was stupid for crafting cards because I sucked anyway (You know how it says what your friends are doing). We got into a huge fight for no reason and I unfriended him. It had been several days since the game where I friended him, so why would he just randomly pick a fight?
I once played as Warrior vs. Mage. I had 50 armor and next turn lethal with weapon. He started his Exodia sequence, but because he was trying to figure out how to play it, and failure to account for the excess armor and casting time, he roped and left me with 14 health after like 10 fireballs. Next turn I Gorehowl him down.
Then he FR's me and says "Dude you should have conceded. I was busy doing settings cuz I was recording that game!"
My friends and I do what we can to encourage Rage Requests and screen shot them and send to each other I have mech mage and zoo full golden in wilds plus I play paliden so I get them often enough for real makes my week when I get one
Have you been playing cube warlock in casual spamming emotes playing neverending voidlords while your opponent has an homebrew to just have fun or complete a quest? Have you been using a top tier in casual? Have you been doing the d**k abusing emotes while playing the match?
If the answer is yes you got the reason of the friend add.
If any of the previous, its just your opponent been tilted about a bad day of losing streaks, and you shouldnt make fun of him anyway. This can happen to everyone a day or another.Just be polite and the rage will pass in a few chat lines.
I once got a friend request after narrowly beating a guy with quest warlock (of all things) in casual. He started complaining about how I was a no skill jerk for playing Guldan in an already overpowered deck. I couldn't believe it.
It depends on the deck I’m playing. I play fatigue Druid. I can play some very intense drawn out games and when I lose I tend to add people just to talk about the game. A lot of the time people don’t accept. People sometimes add me and they usually just say they love my deck because it’s unique. If you play aggro c****r pally, expect different results.
Ok, ok FR someone to insult is wrong, i know. BUT THE HELL HAVE U EVER HAPPENED TO LOSE FOR A F#CKING TOPDECK??? Maybe against an aggro cancer deck or a tempo one. You are for winning, he has not any card left in his hand and you will heal a lot on the next turn. BUT NO HE TOPDECKS LEEROY/ 2ND FIREBALL IN A ROW AND YOU LOSE.
Ok i m a bit salty

One time a cubelock added me after he beat me down...
...only to tell me he had respect for me trying to make odd mage work haha (in the first days after the expansion). I was pleasantly surprised. Now he's on my friends list and we never talk, it's great.

Easy fix - sign in as "Show as offline". Everyone thinks you're a bot, and so no one extends invites. I hardly even see an emote anymore...
never accept friendship request is a solid option, but I always try to give these random dudes a chance :)

The game maker works hard to keep the players agitated and upset, like Facebook and Twitter. You won't make any friends playing this game.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.

well, there is a reason behind that :)

Best experience I've ever had in HS.
Still looking for the video.
Do not accept the friend request right after a match: wait until the day after so that the salt has gone…

"Casual is perfectly fine"
"warlock is not overpowered"
"Playing odd paladin just to test it"
well, you sound like a man who would request a friend just to insult him after losing a match :)
