What are you first impressions of the WOG cards? Which ones are the most OP must haves? Which cards exceed your expectations? And which cards are worse than you expected?
Beast Hunters, Midrange Shaman, Quicker Control Priest. Only decks I have lost to with Murloc Paladin doing my quests, Ranks 8-6.
Those decks can combo up and get out of hand fast. Midrange Shaman with Evolve and most of the Faceless cards with a splash of totems is very threatening. Beast Hunters with Infest, a card they can pluck out of thin air with Jeweled Scarab takes away Hunters' weakness of running out of cards.
I agree with the newer design philosophy that overload shouldn't be counted as an advantage when determining the stats/effect of a card but calculating it as a disadvantage is a little bit too much.
My first impression is that it is so much more fun that I anticipated! And I'll admit I am playing a C'thun deck, control priest C'thun to be exact, however out of a dozen games with it (at 10-2) I've only played one other C'thun deck against me. The variety is amazing, in my experience at least.
Twilight Flamecaller is really good against the aggro decks I've seen, and Yogg-Saron, Hope's End, is still as awesome as we predicted, not really competitive, but really fun. He lost me a friend :(
This is what I've been playing and it's surprisingly working really well. Currently 8W - 1L however I have been facing a lot of C'thun decks which have been pretty easy wins. 1 loss was to aggro shaman.
I'm playing a N'zoth Renolock and I'm loving the new expansion! Deathwing, Dragonlord is my favorite card so far, but I'm loving N'Zoth, the Corruptor's effect of making my enemy face the most annoying minions who are still in standard... TWICE! (Including DW:DL) even though it's boring to see, like igniteice said, that everyone and their moms are playing C'thun decks and it's really boring to face (basically) the same deck over and over again... But hey, once in a while you will see a Shaman that by the way is kicking some butts and rising up to legend really fast and for a good reason, or maybe a midrange slower hunter who (finally) seems to have left the cancer behind, which is pretty fun imo, diversity FTW!
Still, my first (in-pack) legendary was Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound and I'm a bit sad since I can't think of a deck in which he's good... and damn I really wanted it to be (actually I wanted it to have an effect that interacts with sha tokens but most people certainly wanted this anyway)
So many druids with so many taunts and a huge C'Thun to top it off! I was getting wrecked... Had to revive my The Black Knight
Yeah druid was playing turn at fucking 9 mana while I was going into 6 mana next turn. The 4/4 and 3/3 I could have killed, but then he played a 5/10. Couldn't do shit. Next turn plays 4/4 with charge and savage roar and I'm dead. Awesome job Blizzard putting out MORE fucking ramp cards for Druid. <snip>
Probably the worst and most unbalanced set of cards they've printed. Extremely unfun to play this.
The hell were they thinking with C'Thun? High-stat, high-value minions across the board with strong effects. You don't even need to drop him to win.
Seriously, you now need to run a C'Thun deck or you won't make it. My previously decent Dragon Control Warrior is now struggling against all the value.
honestly i'm just thrilled to be playing with TGT cards that couldn't keep up before. I have a weird inspire patron mage that actually does pretty damn well against the c'thun decks. Granted, they're day 1 c'thun decks but still

Indeed, Flamewreathed Faceless already feels incredibly OP, especially considering the BGH nerf. As if Fireguard Destroyer wasn't already powerful.

Can't make renounce darkness work. Even with a C'thun theme. WHY?
Everyone and their mom is playing Cthun cards.

Anyway, Twin Emperor Vek'lor is really good, as is C'Thun. Master of Evolution is pretty good.
Shaku, the Collector gave me the Plague

Now it's your turn to bleed!
aggro face shaman everywhere.....
I'm underwhelmed. The meta at rank 8 is all aggro, mostly face Shaman and cancer Paladin.
Probably the worst and most unbalanced set of cards they've printed. Extremely unfun to play this.
Fun but I'm playing cancer aggro Shaman for the fast quests!!
Priest C'thun EXTREME OP! Amazing Deck... Best hunter have my love AND MIDRANGED SHAMAN!! My god is really crazy as good!
Deathwing, Dragonlord is really good card. I added it to my Dragon Control Warrior and it works very well.
But, fighting against C'thun decks are really harsh.
