Finally Sylvanas is no longer a threat to Priest boards. This card is a better Siphon Soul. I think it will be good in conjunction with Deathlords, so when your opponent gets Savannah Highmane out of your Deathlord you can shuffle it into your deck.
Wrath is a strictly better darkbomb and is also common, i don't see you complaining about that.
Both cards are common. Recycle is a Rare, this is common. Name me another case like this.
Did anyone say Mortal Strike yet? Because mortal strike is rare and fireball is strictly better than it.
The case I am making is not that commons are better than rares, its that they have never made a card that is strictly better than another card at a lower rarity later. Mortal Strike is worse, but its not base set, like fireball. So the later card is worse, but rare, this is the first time we've seen a specific card be made better and lower the rarity at the same time.
Seems like an arbitrary distinction. Mortal Strike and Fireball were available at the same time, does it really matter if one's the 'base' set and the other's the 'expert' set? Either way, it's just splitting hairs - there's precedence in the game for something like this happening, as class cards have been strictly better than other class cards before.
The bottom line is they tried recycle and it didn't work, so it's kind of an irrelevant card anyway. Entomb looks like a card worth playing, that's pretty cool. Not making this card just so they don't offend the druids who aren't running recycle would be silly.
They were both available at release yes, but one is definitely something you have to earn, and they still decided that it needed to be rare. They decided a card that was worse, but in a different class was good at a higher Rarity. The same could be said in many cases for Arcane Blast, but to make a card strictly better, especially off a concept that isn't very common, shuffling in, and you make it Common, for a class that already has good common removal options it doesn't make any sense to me. I'm sorry if I think the card, at common looks like a bad design decision to me. I don't care if the card exists, I just hate that its common. It sets a precedent for making bad cards not only better but more accessible to players than the bad version. That makes the other card they made look like even more of a bad card. I know druid is a totally different class. Hell, Mulch isn't a very good removal spell and its Epic, but the last thing I think Priest needed was this card to be a common. I also know that the card they made at rare for priest simply couldn't be common either it would mess up Arena even more than this card, but at that point I think its just a poor design decision. People can try to argue with me all day about it if they like, but its not going to change my mind. I think reducing rarity on a new card while also making it better than a previous card is a bad call. You don't have to agree with me, but I think I make a valid point.

Again, Fireball is a base set common, Mortal Strike is a Rare. Yes, its a worse card, but the rarity went up. How are you not getting it. The rarity went down in this case which is bad IMO.
The rarity went up for Mortal Strike but it went down for Fireball, so it fits your question (e.g. Fireball is a better Mortal Strike and it has lower rarity, Entomb is a better Recycle and it has lower rarity). If you want to take it one step further, Recycle is a card from a previous expansion (hence powercreep with Entomb), while Mortal Strike and Fireball are from the same set.

I'm not comparing cards per say, I'm more comparing the Rarity those cards occur at. If you read all my posts I think you'll see that my case is somewhat valid. I don't hate the card, I think its fine. I don't think it needed to be a common.

Fireball and Mortal Strike aren't from the same set. Fireball is a Basic card, Mortal Strike is Classic. One of those cards you have to acquire the other everyone gets. This is a case, where even when the cards came out together blizzard made the worse card have a higher rarity and therefore occurance/value. This is the opposite of that. While it is true that both of those cards were designed and effectively released at the same time they aren't from the same set. That point isn't valid.

The more I think about this card, the less I like it. I think it's just too slow and I don't feel it will be played any more than Recycle is right now.
Let's compare this card to our other 6 mana removal, Holy Fire. Holy Fire takes anything out with 5 health or less and restores us for 5. It can also target face and be buffed by +Spell Damage. So, for this card to be included over Holy Fire, the target has to have 6 or more health. Okay, that's not too uncommon.
However, now let's compare this to our other removals, like Shadow Word: Death. Anything with 5 or more attack and this card is far inferior. So the primary targets will likely have 4 attack or less with a lot of health. Anything weaker than what's been pointed out and it wouldn't be worth investing 6 mana to remove and many of the eligible targets could just as easily be taken out by Shadow Word: Pain as well. This really narrows down the list of eligible targets that would warrant including Entomb over the other removals.
Best targets would have to be high health low attack minions, preferably at 4 attack or less. The only somewhat reliable target for this card in today's meta is probably Ysera. While it's true the meta will change but I'm not sure it will make a difference here.
Overall, I say this is a very bad card and even though it's strictly better than Recycle, that's not saying much. Kind of like saying dog crap is better than cow crap. At the end of the day, they're both still crap.
How many SW: Deaths will you put in the deck? Many times I found that I need one more or that the card is not enough because of the deathrattle effect. Howver, I agree that it seems pretty slow.
Let's test first and we talk about it later.

It's even worse then! You have to acquire a bad card when they give you a better one for free! OMG Blizzard, what have you done!

it's not strickly worse than recycle .. since recycle can be used to give garpage back to your oppenent deck and forcing him to draw the bad card and replay it....
in arena i was facing a paladin..we entered top deck mode... i recycled his Junkbot... he then drew it next turn..and i won the game

So every card should just be a common besides the legendaries because why not. There is no purpose to rarity and diversity. No point making rares or epics, or fuck it legendaries, eventually we'll just have everything powercreeped up and common so fuck collecting rares or epics anyway. Its a bad design decisions plain and simple. It makes rarity feel even more meaningless and shows that any card could be made better and common and blizzard doesn't care, and apparently neither does anyone but me. So I guess I'll shut up about it and blizzard can just keep fucking this game up. I mean lets be honest, this card doesn't fucking matter anyway because Aggro Druid got a great new 3drop and they didn't make any good answers to Aggro, so a 6 mana removal spell is pretty much the fucking worst card they could have made for the game period.
Its a strictly control vs control card. Warrior plays ysera u kill it and give yourself a copy into your deck. Easily just wins that matchup. Use this vs Tirion and pally will get rekt... its absolutely amazing card. Even mystyrious challenger will be removed causing the secrets to be near useless since no buffs and no 9/8 etc
This card is nuts. It gets rid of the enemy card and it doesn't trigger deathrattle AND you get a copy? GG Tirion. Also who fucking cares about tempo in a ctrl priest?

That's true. We won't know for certain how effective it will be until it's been tried and tested. It definitely has the advantage when removing deathrattle minions so I'll also concede that fact as well. However, as far as needing another SW: Death, Big Game Hunter usually fills that role extremely well.
Entomb does have the advantage of being able to target 4 attack minions though and beats Holy Fire out on anything with more than 5 health (not including potential Spell Damage). Throw in the fact it negates Deathrattle and it may be viable.
That being said, unless the meta slows waaaaay down, I don't see this card being played. 6 mana is a lot to invest in a single removal and unfortunately it just makes the card almost too slow to play. So unless I'm lacking imagination and vision of the potential of the cards revealed, I simply don't see this adventure slowing the meta down much, if at all. Hopefully though I'm wrong and some creative deck builders can find a way to make control oriented decks more reliable.
