You could also get some crazy swing turns from freeze mage. Something like double molten double frost echo play them again. Super greedy though but it will be cool when it happens.
Frost Giant I can see working in Giants Mage and Control Warrior. I can't see this working in Handlock and it most definitely won't work in aggro decks.
Could this take Sea Giant's place as a one-of in Zoo?
It seems awesome for Control Warrior, until you remember the part where Control Warrior already has a hard time deciding which end-game cards it's going to fit into its deck. Is this really going to make the cut over things like Nefarian and Ysera?
This is scary good for Fatigue/Giant Mages though. Echo of Medivh two of these and play them for free too ... yikes.
it's not better than mountain and molten in handlock, at least it doesn't seem like it, so calm your pants. sure it would be great to have 6 giants against control decks but agains aggro decks or even midrange kinda quick decks it's just a dead card, much as mountain giant is in many of those games, you can't afford to have 4 dead cards in your deck against a big chunk of the field.

Especially with a new form of aggro hitting the scene. Totem Shaman seems like it could be fairly strong.
Put this in Control Warrior with Charge. The combo potential is out of control.
EDIT: This card has the potential (like molten) to be 0 mana at some point. Unlike Molten it synergizes with priest and warrior hero power very well (not to mention shaman and paladin). Maybe we see a Sea/Frost Giant shaman or pally deck
A lot of people talk about this card and instantly think "Handlock," but past the obvious synergy with Life Tap I just don't see a place for it. We don't know what else is in store for the class yet or just how the meta will evolve, but what does this card replace? Handlock has always been a very tight list and to be honest I just don't see the need for another, very slow threat like this.
I'm not very impressed with Frost Giant but I don't think it's a bad card. It obviously seems best in mid-range decks (maybe it'll have a shot in Demonlock) where you're sure to be using your hero power a lot and in control decks where you're likely to play this as, let's say, a 5 mana 8/8 + another spell or small minion late in the game. It's strength will all depend on how good this new Inspire keyword influences the meta.
Not enough mentions of Mage. With Echo of Medivh and Duplicate, against a control deck, this card can get really really really insane. It's very conceivable you could end up dropping tons and tons of low or no-cost Frost Giants near the end game. Giants Mage already has a win condition versus aggro, i.e. Molten Giant, so Frost Giant singlehandedly addresses a weakness of the deck!
I can also see this being potentially good in Priest and Warrior, although I'm not exactly sure how or why you'd play this. Someone more creative than me can figure that out.
If you think this is for Handlock then you don't play much Handlock. Sorry. When I ctrl+F "Handlock" in this thread I see way too many results. Please stop.
A great addition to not only for Handlock, but for other classes as well...like Control Warrior, Control Paladin and Control Priest. Really good card design. Also, I can see this being included in Echo Molten Mage, like this one. It may be just good enough to make it a mainstream deck.
One important thing to have on mind is that this discount effect is permanent, unlike any other giants we saw in the game till this point. Moltens, Sea Giants, Mountains and Clockworks can all become more or less expensive depending on the various states of the game, but this only gets cheaper and cheaper. So I also think that this will be the best thing in Echo Mage, because you will no longer depend on your life total.

Machine gun echo mage could actually be pretty strong now that you say that.
I'll use this in Echo Mage. Also will be a great fit in Fatigue Warrior, I'm basically using hero power every turn waiting to drop the Iron Juggernaut(s).
Y'all aren't thinking clearly. This is named Frost Giant because it belongs where all the other Frost is: in a control Mage deck. Echo Giants with these + Molten Giant + Echo of Medivh with all of the survival tools of normal Freeze Mage is gonna be nuts!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I looked at this card originally and I thought, you know, it's a card, and you play this card. The card will be that card that you play so you're playing a card. So, it is one thing to play a card. If you're opponent doesn't really have any cards, the card will screw up the card pretty hard, and that means it's a pretty good card.

Machine gun mage new meta! The Caldera drake and some dragon synergy could very well be insane and even effigy pushes this archetype forward. Frost giant easily gets to 0 mana in this build.
If this giant becomes an autoinclude in control decks, well then control decks are also going to need to add a 2nd BGH unless Boom gets nerfed. I also fear it will make giants echo mage broken OP.

You are not prepared!
i think that this will feet better on a malliloc imho cause the deck its self taps more than handloc

Meta changes the moment you switch your deck.
This can be a replacement or an extra addition to current Giants for Handlock decks.
Also this has a great synergy with Control Warrior but I don't think a 8-8 body without any Battlecry /effect will get a place in that deck.
its not good in handlock. its no early turn giant and later you want legendaries. not enough slots, too.
idk, doesnt look that great to me. a turn 7+ giant isnt impressive at all.

I like the Giant twist, that's fun.
