The fact people actually believe this card is anything but terrible says a lot about this forum.
The fact that we all have different thoughts about the strength of this card says we probably don't actually know yet how strong it will be.
Pretending like you know without a doubt how strong it will be is just arrogant and counterproductive.
Think about this for a minute. It's a 4 mana 3/5, that makes your late game draw worse(you certainly don't want to be drawing a 4 mana 3/5 beyond turn 6 on most games). The ONLY scenario where the card's effect will be positive is if you reach fatigue. The reason why jade idol is a good(rather broken) card is because it eventually becomes a 1 mana summon a 6/6 or better. Playing a 4 mana 3/5 is not even comparable to that.
This is pretty obvious stuff if you played hearthstone for over 6 months, let alone when the game has been out for more than 3 years.

And what if there exists a control/fatigue Druid deck that includes Geist and runs two Astral Tigers?
"Playing a 4 mana 3/5 is not comparable to....1 mana 6/6" - so then, no one can play any minion ever again because Jade Idol is "strictly better," right?
Maybe you're right....but you don't really know how the meta will end up or if this card will be strong. All I'm saying is....these discussion threads exist for a reason, and if you don't have a constructive way to contribute to that discussion, there's not much reason to post here borderline insult anyone who disagrees with you.

There is another Scenario in which it is okay: When you have a Guild Recruiter or Oaken Summons but no 4 drops in your deck any more. You kill it, you get it back with recruit cards (which otherwise would be just bad)

Well excuse me, but I'm a guy who, by nature, despises political correctness as a whole, so i'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, but I'm not actually sorry. This is an Internet forum based on a videogame, not a lawyer firm. Which means I will indeed point out that bad Hearthstone players who think they aren't bad are in fact, bad, rather than giving them a pat in the back.
And no, jade idol is not a better card than everything else in every scenario, because it requires you to build your deck around it. The reason I mentioned jade idol, is because people seem to be implying that, because one card that potentially gives you infinite deck size is broken, any piece of crap card that blizzard releases with a similar effect obviously is so as well.
Hey, why are we even having this debate again. Druid used to have a 7 MANA 9/7 WITH THE EXACT SAME EFFECT that never saw play in any competitive decks. I won't even bother to say that a 7 mana 9/7 is a card you would much rather have in a deck that wants to go to fatigue, because that is probably too complicated for you to understand.
But hey, keep your "opinion". Just be sure to know that it is fact, wrong.

I never played with Malorne but perhaps it wasn't played because it wasn't the right meta for it? Also, it's really difficult to do anything else on turn 10 when you play a 7-mana minion; a 4-mana minion gives you more flexibility (maybe you use removal and play a minion instead of just playing a minion, maybe you play this + a taunt minion, maybe you chain these together on turn 9 with the new Druid legendary). Another thing is, Druid today has far more tools at its disposal - would Malorne be played if it were just released in KaC?
This is a forum for discussion. You don't need to apologize for "offending" me. It's just not really contributing ANYTHING of value to call everyone else wrong and say "this card is bad, end of discussion, no debate needed" (paraphrasing, since you didn't say exactly that).

If this didn't have the text would you play it? No? then why would you want to draw and play this over and over again?
Because I like new challenging mechanics that ask me to build a deck in a specific way. Perhaps this card wasn't made to be competitive. Perhaps it will be a key piece in a deck that doesn't exist yet and won't exist until sets rotate out. But the point isn't merely, "Does this fit into Jade/Big Druid right now," the point of these discussions is to talk about what type of deck this would work in and how it would be strong.

Well...you compare a broken mechanic (jades) with a balanced, well designed card (Astral Tiger). Think about this. ;-)

It has some synergy with the 8 mana druid senjin shield master that recruits 2 4 cost minions but that alone doesn't sell me on this card.
Carpe Diem - Seize the day
Love this card, just wish it was a neutral card.
