At this point Standard is so fun and Wild right now just doesnt seem interesting. My full wild collection is 3605 dust and as a mostly f2p could help a lot.
If you think you'll never play wild and you're a F2P player, I don't think there's any reason for you not to dust if you want something for standard play. That said, 3600 dust is probably good for 1-ish deck depending on what you have in the format already so that's something to keep in mind.
I prefer only playing standard. Especially now that I'm consistently above rank 5 in standard. I don't want to start the climb all over again from 25, especially now that the 5 star system goes all the way to 25 (I think?).
I've still kept "good" wild cards, just for potential solo adventures (like Icecrown citadel in Knights of the Frozen Throne). 3600 dust is a lot of dust and, as you said, it will help a lot.
Another thing you could do is just disenchant as you need dust. If you want to have a legendary right now, but you only have 1300 dust for example, then go ahead and disenchant 300 dust worth of cards.

Ive got a good bit of whats viable right now. I have my collection on here if you want to take a look
Whaaaaat?! Lol wild is much more fun imo. What decks do you run in wild? I converted from a standard player to wild a few seasons ago and personally, it turned me away from standard. That’s just me though.
In my opinion, I’ve said that I would never play wild. Yet here I am playing wild, slowly getting back to standard because of naga sea witch giant combo and big priest decks. The cancer of cancer. I say keep your wild collection, you never know when you might want to meme around with a bunch of fun cards that you normally wouldn’t use against a friend or something like that. As others say, it is cheaper in the long run to play wild.

Yeah 5 star down to r25. I was thinking I could keep like 1 deck just for some play away from Standard if I need it
You can usually get away with crafting less every expansion in Wild - not as many cards change - and, you'll never lose the cards. It's also generally more fun, as you can play a lot more decks in it.
EveryOne who dusts ther wild collection regrets it and becomes an aggro slave. Dont do it
Meh, that's just not true. I'm a paying player and I've dusted most of my wild collection. I just like being up to date in standard because it allows me to have a good enough standard collection, while spending minimal money (I only do the pre-orders). If I were to go back and dust my karazhan/MSG/old gods cards (which I haven't as of yet), I doubt I'll need to spend any more money the year of the raven. Then I can go back to spending money next year haha. Assuming I'm still around, that is =P

Standard might seem fun but it also might stop being fun next/second next xpac/next rotation. Wild is more f2p friendly cos your cards dont become obsolete in a blink of an eye and you need to dust 4 wild leggos to get 1 standard. Advice as a free to play player, only dust absolutely horrible unplayable pack filler cards and goldens.
If I were you, I'd only dust wild legendaries that never saw play. Dusting 4 cards you never played for one that you're gonna play and enjoy is definitely worth it.
Other than that, I don't think it's wise to dust playable wild rares and commons for just 20 /5 dust each. Just keep the card. On a later stage, If you want to test a deck without spending too much dust, you can always find a better variety of replacements in wild, so it's actually chepear for F2P and casual players and If you plan to play the game on a daily basis for more than a year, you'll regret that you dusted your collection for just 2 legendaries.
On the other hand, the power level of standard is increasing with every expansion to keep the game interesting, so a lot of times standard decks will be better than wild decks. You can just climb wild ladder with your standard deck.
You dust now all Wild cards, help you to make one or two Standard decks, for now looks a good idea, until the next rotation and all your collection will be hit again and everything you spend will return only 1/4, terrible value, and no tunrning back anymore, you give up Wild now then you give up forever, unless you spend a lot of real money.
Keep the cards and sometimes play Wild, not rare Standard meta become boring with 2 or 3 decks be played over and over, it is nice to have options when this kind of thing happen.
If you decide play only Standard and dust any Wild now and in the future then focus all your resources in Classic packs, the rotation will hurt you a lot less if you do that.

Well wild is actually cheaper for f2p players. As there some very low dust budget options in wild, and you don’t really have those in standard

I dusted all the cards in the previous rotation and haven't really regretted it. The brawls and such are doable without the wild cards as well.
I think disenchanting as you go when you need it is the way to go

You can always use wild cards in brawls and adventires (like koft or older adventures)
So dont dust your wild cards

The problem with this decision is the long run.
