Because what's meta-defining in one might absolutely suck in the other.
Take Lost in the Jungle for instance. 1 mana summon two 1/1's for Paladin. In standard this might be a serviceable/passable card that just gives paladins a T1 play, but isn't broken in any way, shape, or form.
Meta Defining probably not, but the shell the card slots into, and how much of a boost to the early game of Secret Paladin this card is going to be, it's definitely not just playable.
Figured I'd just open the discussion now, before Wild becomes it's own thing due to the actual rotation that heavily impacts the game. If this is (yet again) in the wrong forum, I apologize.
Not right now (the difference isn't big enough), but in the future, yes this might actually be necessary. Even through i don't think that Lost in the Jungle is as good as you think. Secretkeeper on turn 1 is far better than Lost in the jungle on turn 1.

Not necessarily; Secretkeeper only works on T1 if you follow it up with some secrets, which means you can't curve out as nicely unless you've got the coin. Don't get me wrong, it's a much better 1 cost minion than either of the other two in the Secret Paladin deck.
But Shielded Minibot and Muster for Battle can pretty much be slotted into any deck that wants to contest the early game, much like how Shaman has Tunnel Trogg and Totem Golem. Lost in the Jungle adds unto that curve so that any Midrange Paladin deck that ever exists now automatically has Lost in the Jungle to add to that as well.
But anyway, this isn't about Lost in the Jungle, I was just using it as an example. We're already seeing cards that could play entirely differently in one format or the other (The Rogue Quest is actually pretty good with Gang Up and the Novice Engineer like minions) and Discolock is always going to have more options in Wild than Standard.
Heck, if the Warrior Quest is play X Taunt minions, it's automatically better just because of Deathlord and Sludge Belcher being in wild than anything Standard can throw into the mix.
I mean, yeah, the Priest Quest is arguably pretty good in Standard but might be bonkers in Wild.
Patches made Standard his bitch but is only 1 of many good decks in Wild.
If Dragon OPerative was released after the next rotation he would be bad in Standard and still awesome in Wild.
A new Mech synergy card could be useless in standard and pretty decent in Wild.
All in all, when this rotation comes the 2 formats will be far different, with Reno decks still great in Wild if not stronger due to Un'goro adding some good 1-ofs while in Standard the loss of Reno and over 150 cards (Un'goro can replace WOG but Kara and MSG still missing) makes the decks unplayable except perhaps Priest.
I think the fun part of wild is that all cards are allowed no matter how broke they are, will this new Lost in the Jungle pump up secret pally? maybe, but other classes will have broken cards too.
Wild is becoming a place where only the best is allowed, thats the fun of it, you can make the most broken shaman deck as possible to fight against the most broken warrior deck or any other super strong deck you may find. It's nice cause you can try all sorts of stupid interactions instead of the standard meta decks.
...This is a very good point. And for perhaps a more clear example, consider the Priest quest- good Deathrattles are far easier to come across in Wild than in Standard (Haunted Creeper, Piloted Shredder, Sludge Belcher, etc.), and so the quest will be much easier to complete.
And to go on a little bit of a tangent, how long do you think it will take before Wild is more or less treated like an entirely different game? How long until a Wild deck is entirely incomprehensible to a Standard player?: wildly different meta (ba-dum-tss), whole new deck archetypes, etc.
Today in my free brawl pack I got Barongeddon, then I had a cup of fresh green tea. As a result of that, I think Priest is OP because my keyboard is not a mechanical one. I hope Blizzard will address this issue.

If M:tG is anything to go by, it'll never be treated as a different game, but it will be treated as an entirely different beast.
Modern is the second biggest MTG format (maybe eclipsed by Commander now a days), and it's mostly known for an unchanging meta (well, until Wizards started banning things left and right without any sort of rhyme or reason). The metagame will be vastly different, but there will always be Pillars of the Format that keep it the same but different.
Secret Paladin and Freeze Mage will always be things, even if they don't get new cards. As for being incomprehensible to standard players, as long as the Wild metagame/info is always a click away it'll never be too hard to follow :P
I think one poll is fine personally. It is just a reveal, and i don't think it is worth going to that extent to vote about a card in two different formats having never played the card.

This exactly. Its just a poll asking people who cannot predict which cards will actually be good to make that prediction.
The only poll that can make sense is one for arena. Constructed metas are too difficult to predict.
And if someone is particularly interested in seeing what people think of a particular card's impact on the Wild meta, there's nothing preventing them from making a poll themselves... *cough, cough*

No. Wild will forever be a 'fun mode' that no one takes serious, unless it becomes the old 'new standard' play mode.
No one? I do.
There, your statement has already been disproven.

The constructed polls in general are quite pointless since the vast majority of the cards will be judged without seeing which synergies will exist (or how the meta will turn out). Just as an example, I rated the Hunter 3/5 that grabs two 1-drops as mediocre regardless of deck, but with the quest revealed it suddenly got way better. The poll is just a bit of fun.
An Arena poll actually does make sense, it's a relatively stable meta where synergies matter a lot less, so you can make quite accurate predictions.

In Wild though, Lost in the Jungle along with Argent Squire are both very powerful cards, especially when followed up with Shielded Minibot, Muster for Battle, Piloted Shredder, Sludge Belcher, and Mysterious Challenger.

Check out my OTK chargfury shaman deck.
