Possible? Sure. Likely? No. Cards you'll see changed are divine favor, force of nature, savage roar, and any thing else that severely limits design space.
I think, they will aim to equalize power of basic cards between classes. For instance, warlock basics are complete garbage but in the same time mages and druids have top-tier auto-include cards in basic set (like Frostbolt or Innervate).

To be fair warlock hero power is OP, so his cards cant be at the same level. Illidan should be buffed man, that would make the lose of Mal'ganis not so terrible and give more options in the classic set, which is the foundation of standard.
With the new Standard and some classic cards getting modified (probably strong cards getting nerfed) I think Blizzard should also buff important cards lorewise which are simply unused in the game. Specially Illidan Stormrage.
Its ok to have bad cards that will never see play, but Illidan is such and important character in the Warcraft universe that is really sad the fact that he is a crappy legendary. Also he is pretty important in the new WOW expansion, so that could be a reason for blizzard to buff the card.
What do you think? Any chance of Blizzard buffing cards with the inclusion of standard mode?
I don't think it needs a buff, I think it needs a rework. The effect is bland and uninteresting, it doesn't inspire you to build a deck around it. But hopefully we'll get a corrupted variant somehow, or rather "non-corrupted" that reflects how he was before he went all demonic mode.
I don't see any reason to buff him, some cards just aren't good enough to make the cut, Illidan is one of those. The fact that he is apart of the classic series is even more reason not to touch him; if he were to be buffed and became a good card then there is the potential for him to have an impact on standard for forever which is not what they want. As far as the argument to buff him for the sake of warlocks is concerned it really isn't needed. We are getting a new expansion with a bunch of new cards, as such if Warlock needs need resources to replace the cards that it is losing from Naxx and GvG then the resources it needs should come from the new expansion, not from buffing base cards.
One can dream. However, my Golden Illidan may just see more play in my dreadsteed 2.0 if BGH gets his arse kicked. Hes only 6 mana after all, its not like getting 7-10 mana BGHed and you flat out lose.. WE SHALL SEE, WE WILL BE PREPARED.
Would it be cool yes. Would it happen, no because that would be cool.

Saying RNG isn't detracting from skill in hearthstone, won't convince anyone it's a good idea. It just shows your too stupid to understand the basics principles of good game design.
Considering they are releasing different versions of Warcraft characters that are already in Hearthstone with this expansion, it wouldn't surprise me if they do the same with Illidan in the future (I really don't believe they would release a new version now, but who knows...), after all, he wasn't always a half night elf / half demon, neither always blind (although not blind in the normal sense). He is a very important and cool Warcraft character, he deserves something a lot better than being a shitty 7/5 for 6 mana, that summons a 2/1s each time you play a card...
As warlock is getting hit very hard in standard and as Illidan sucks ad a card, wouldnt it be cool it was buffed or changed? Is this possible?

He deserves the change man. Blizzard is not prepared.

Blizzard historically does not buff cards. So no.

They won't buff it. They will most likely make another Illidan card that is playable in the next expansion.

he should be nerfed to a 6-5

They could at least reverse his stats.

Really, all they could do is to revsere his stats (and/or his tokens)

It's always a good time to buff the one and only Illidan Stormrage.... but they wont :(
