Hello! My name is SwedishOxxx and I am a Swedish Hearthstone player that grind as much as I can (working full time and trying to keep my girlfriend at the same time) to reach Legend. I also play Magic: the Gathering, just as many of the Hearthstone professionals started with (Orange, Kibler and others).
I love deck buildning, both in Magic and Hearthstone, and I prefer playing my own brews instead of copying the latest meta online, and this is my latest challenge. I want to make a working Reno Rogue list. I've decided to run with the Deathrattle plan, since Rogue does it so good.
So listen, if you want to play a GREAT Reno deck, you should probably stick with Priest or Warlock. There is a reason behind why those are the Reno lists that is the most played. But if you, like me, want to play something that will surprise your opponent, this is a fun deck!
I will update this with matchup and mulligan guides if the deck gets played by others but I'll just leave it here until then. Good luck.
EDIT 19/12: As many of you have noticed, Valdorei Strider has a really bad synergy with Reno Jackson. You could play it for late game value, after Reno is played or if you feel you don't need to play Reno Jackson that game, but I'll replace it for now with a Deathlord.
EDIT 25/12: I have played this deck a lot now and I felt I needed to do a couple of changes. So I did, naturally. I removed Deathlord, Preparation, Sprint and Gluttonous Ooze and replaced them with Evasion, Betrayal, Fal'Dorei Strider and Emperor Thaurissan. After that the deck works better. Fal'Dorei seems like a nonbo but actually has incredible value late game.
New Rogue deck! Be sure to check it out!

Any room for Mad Scientist?
I guess you could add it and cut a Journey Below or something BUT the secrets in this deck should not be played as soon as possible but in certain situations. For example, Cheat Death which should be played for value with big minions on the battlefield. So as the maker of the deck, I would say that the scientist doesn't fit in here. If you want to try it you are welcome of course but I think you will come to the same conclusion that I have :)
Haha, sorry guys. Of course Strider isn't as good as I hoped. You COULD wait and play it after Reno for late game value but it's dead until then. So yeah, I'll switch it for a Deathlord :D
Looks good, but no Kazakus?
Kazakus is unique to Warlock, Mage and Priest and can't be played in a Rogue deck.
mmm I could be wrong but, i think you dont get reno bonus if you have strider cards still in your deck... can be kind of a dead card early or too risky to play it.
no way HarleyQuinn is here :O i luv you! ,,,,thats all i got to say
hi why would you want Fal'dorei Strider × 1 it makes finding reno harder along with zoth? or when you find a ambush in your deck do you still draw a card anyway?
ok well thanks for reply but u neva actually answered the question so i wil test now myself the card and see if a card is also drawn when a ambush is if this is the case then it doesnt make it harder if not the case then it obvously does.
I don't mean to be rude but I SAID IT QUITE CLEARLY. When you draw an Ambush you also draw another card which can result in a chain of Ambushes.
where do you say this? " It doesn't make it harder but adds long term value to your deck. If it weren't a reno deck you'd 100% run two in a control rogue."
thats your quote i dont see it here.
Yeah, I am also confused about the strider pick in a highlander rogue build.
However, I do give you props for not being like so many other Deathrattle Rogue players who put Dr. Boom in their decks (because Boom is 'so good' in 2017, almost 2018). Too many deck builders make that mistake, not realizing that the bots actually create negative synergy with N'Zoth and degrade the impact of its battlecry.
Actually, the Strider turned out to work perfectly. Just don't play it when you need to play Reno soon, and always know how many Ambushes is left in the deck. If you do, it gives you incredible value late game and gives you threats that your opponent needs to deal with.
