HeGuys, I am Daniel "C4mlann" Märkisch and I wanted to share this meme deck with you as I did hit Legend with this Quest Hunter on EU as well as on NA in november on stream.
Proof? Sure (new video, German):
Here is also a video (IN GERMAN, SRY GUYS) about creating the deck and playing it (and raging about Razakus Priest ofc):
Short guide
You have three win conditions:
This is (obviously) your main win condition. Play minions, especially Fire Flies and try to get 1drop into Quest fullfilled into Queen Carnassa on turn six. From there on, you have plenty of tools to win the game. Cult Master and Tol'vir Warden help refilling your hand, Tundra Rhino helps pushing for lethal/regain board vs big taunt minions.
The prince is a great addition to former versions of the deck as you don't want to play 2drops anyhow. It's just good. Keep it, play it, and win the game. Especially powerful, because we play so many 1drop minions, that you can easily transfer the buffs that land on your deck/hand to the board.
Also a great add which we got from the last expansion! It can single handed win games as you can outvalue many other decks. The two aoe damage won't matter in most cases, but sometimes it helps you stabalizing the board after your weaker minions can't really hold it for a long time.
Keep in mind! Most decks in Hearthstone aim for one win condition and if they complete it (e.g. play Prince Keleseth, play Shadowstep, play Prince Keleseth, play Shadowstep, play Prince Keleseth or play Raza the Chained on T5, play Shadowreaper Anduin on T8), the game is over. This is some Tier1 stuff. We're not that guy. We're the guy playing Quest hunter. In order to win the game, you have to fullfill all three win conditions most of the time. What to say? The more, the merrier I guess.
Enjoy! (but not too much, as you will lose ranks :D )
Mulligan Guide:
w/o coin: Keep The Marsh Queen, Prince Keleseth, Tracking, Fire Fly
on coin: Keep The Marsh Queen, Prince Keleseth, Tracking, Fire Fly
This guide was brought to you by 1. my twitch chat, who forces me to play stupid decks (ty guys), 2. my procrastination to do senseful stuff in my free time, 3.My jetlag
Disclaimer: Ok, seriously. Don't play this deck if you want win ranks/stars. It took me about eight rank1 5Star games to hit Legend with it.
edit: added 2nd video after hitting legend on NA now, too. UPDATED LIST!
The thing about Prince Keleseth in this deck is it's not always a good idea to play it as soon as you can, like other aggro/tempo decks. It's incredibly powerful to play him after you play Queen Carnassa
I agree it's far more powerful then, but if you can get the early game boost from it I think you have to play it before you finish the quest. It doesn't matter if you have a bunch of buff 4/3 raptors if you're down to like 10 hp with no control of the board.
Indeed, also pretty deadly combo-ed with [card]Tundra Rhino[/card] once you get your 4-3 raptors
I played around with it at rank 7 and it did better than I expected, but not good enough to climb (as noted in the guide). If you get matched against any of the top tier decks, you will 100% lose unless you get the absolute perfect hand and draws.
Still, it is a fun deck and I'll definitely try it again at rank 5 when the losses don't matter so much.
I have been playing a really really similar deck (same, just with double tol'vir, and alextrasa) at the release of the frozen throne patch, but without much luck unfortunately. It's nice to see, that someone else is trying with these experimental stuff! Well done
he must not have anything else to do....gratz man...how the fuk did you stay and play this that long. I would have been bored to death.
Prob best hunter deck to date, thanks XD
Sehr gut!
I did build a kinda similar Deck. Just with Infest instead of Cult Master. Gives a little more Lategame Options.
There are 2 rhinos.
I want so badly for quest hunter to work, but the card draw is just not there. I even tried teching in coldlight oracles, and its just awful. Also it has no curve whatsoever! Maybe this next expansion will release some helpful cards. :P
I don't know what all the sarcasm is about. It's a solid deck, at least I have about a 50% winrate with it. Sure, it's meme, sure you'll have a hard time climbing with it, and sure, if you run out of cards early you're screwed. But despite all that, it is very fun to play. To most people hunter quest comes as a surprise. And if you get the Tundra Rhino combo off you have a decent chance of winning, even against Razakus Priest and Jade Druid. I do not regret crafting The Marsh Queen for this.
I did switch a Mistress of Mixtures for a Timber Wolf to get more buffs and a Hunter's Mark for a Runic Egg for more Card draw, which works quite well with the buffs from Abusive Sergeant andAcherus Veteran.
Absolute troll deck. You'll be out of cards by turn 4 and get completely out valued by rogue, priest, or Druid (which make up 90% of the meta). Avoid this deck of you're looking to climb. Maybe play it for fun if you've reached one of the rank break points (5, 10, 15, 20) and don't mind getting stomped for a few games...but I'd honestly rather at least do that with a high roll deck that'll still get lucky and win sometimes.
I played a few matches today. It was really fun to beat tier1 decks with this deck... at least if you have Keleseth after the quest goes off. :)
I agree very fun to play even if it is super rough.
Fun deck. Just hold keleseth until you get your quest off and have fun.
Is it really best to hold him for the Raptors?
Play Keleseth if you have him in your opening hand, otherwise hold him for Raptors.
The Marsh Queen is the quest in question, it rewards you with Queen Carnassa
