UPDATE: I updated my old deck, which i created shortly after the wing was open. In the new Version i use some of the new Cards, which works pretty well. Win rate is 90+ %. I tried to give a short overview about the strategy below, but i think it is clearer in the Video.

Main strategy: Deal with his minions, Control the board and  kill him with fatigue.

  • Mulligan: Search for Fiery Waraxe, Cleave, Nerubian Egg or Explosive Sheep.
  • You should kill his minions as soon as possible, but at the same time try to get as much value out of the removals as possible. Sometimes it makes sense to wait before you kill a minion. For example with the necroknight or to use cleave one turn later. Also don't waste your good removals like Bouncing Blades for weak minions. Then it would be better to Play Nerubain Egg and kill the weak minion one turn later.
  • To kill the minios it is often the best to use the weapon, if your life is not too low. Try to keep some minions with charge or spells for the case he freezes you.
  • Don't use Shield Block to early. Due to his spells you will be low on health at a certain Point. That is normal. However, it is actually not bad to be at 12 health or lower, because some of your spells become really strong and you Need that. So wait with your Shield Blocks until you are <=12 or when it is really necessary.
  • A problem are the sprectral knights, because apart from the Gorehowl your weapons are not strong enough. Therefore it is good to Keep Bouncing Blades for them. Another threat are the Necro Knights. However, those are easier to kill, especially is you have Mortal Strike and <=12 health.
  • Nerubian Egg is always good after Shade of Naxxramas, because you know you can trade it for something. Try to play it early if it is possible, so he can't use Blizzard.
  • Another important thing: Try to use your hero ability as often as possible. In the middle of the game you will be really low on health and then you would regret if you didn't use it. When you have the option at the end of your turn to play a weapon or use your hero ability, then use your hear ability.
  • Another important part is that you shouldn't try to hit him even when he don't have minions on the board. Try to save your weapons, minions and spells. You Need those Cards to deal with the board and you have later enough time to kill him. Just attack him when he don't have minions anymore or you know that you can destroy the last minions really easy.
  • Be aware of his deck and yours. He has 3 necrokinght and 3 spectral knights which are more difficult to kill. Think about the cards you already used and what combos are still possible.
